You'll have to check your local laws for the age requirement on city councilman and mayor.

So state congress is out, but that would be a little too serious for me anyways :(

Any other ideas? City council I am looking into now, but Mayor would probably also be too serious :)

So I live in an unincorporated city. What does this mean for running in this area? Can you run in a different city than the one you reside in?

No, you'd have to run for a county office.

I am looking into the County Commissioner office...Can anyone refer me to somewhere that tells me what exactly they do, how often they meet, time required, etc.

thanks

I think the most important office to be elected to at the county level is Auditor. That's the office which tallies the votes.

Remember Stalin:

"It's not who votes that counts, but who counts the votes."

Why don't you join your local Republican Party, buy a book about running an election campaign, talk to some seasoned local politicians, and let the Party do your work for you?
