Yaz,

Are you from Iran? I talk to several girls over there in Tehran. Very lovely girls. I'm always trying to get them to leave! I've been talking to them for so long now, it would really suck for something to happen to them.

They've been teaching me farsi/persian. Good stuff.

its beautiful yeah it kind of put in in perspective - we are all humans wanting teh best for our families, wanting to live out our lives to their natural conclusion and make an impact for the positive .

Sad we cannot work through things diplomatically if it all possible. I dont think they are not unopressed however....Ahminejad is no angel but he is just mirroring the threats coming from the US. I wish we could just take a deep breath and find a more constructive way to solve thes eproblesm...but thats not what our govt seems to want. Achmed seems to liek to fight too!

America is not their holy land, they will not want it. Why do people not get that?

We won't even talk to Iran yet this administration is so quick to make threats and draw up plans to bomb them. The people running this country are so fucking insane it's unfathomable. Thank God Ron Paul is injecting some common sense into this presidential race.

Persian Iranians are lovely people- aristocratic, cultured, educated, Christian. A lot of them came to Los Angeles in the 70s fleeing the Ayatollah. I felt very badly for them back then. Same with Cubans I know who finally had to flee Cuba in the 70s or die - they are just like us - middle class, good values, educated. They didn't want to leave their homes and I don't blame them.

Neo-con war mongers like Newt deserve nothing less than the firing squad. This is out of all control.

Thanks for posting the doc. I really enjoyed it. If they bomb Iran my anger will definitely burn for a very long time.

Tehran has a great insurance policy for not being bombed... but when the 5000 jews who live there are evacuated, we know what's gonna happen

I've also heard somewhere that they have their nuclear reactors working at industrial output levels, which apparently means that if they get bombed the whole Middle East including parts of China, and Russia will be hit by radioactive fallout and in some areas on a scale many times worse than Chernobyl.

I'm going there for the first time in December. I'm not from there but my father is. Iran is one of the most beautiful places in the world according to the people I've talked to. You can go skiing in the mountains then travel a few miles and go swimming in the beach. There's a large number of Iranian-Americans, many people would be surprised that some of their best friends have an Iranian heritage.
