It will air on May 27th on Cspan - 7pm I think. I was there for this taping and let me tell you - it was delightful. It was at an inner city DC public school. Definitely NOT one of those preaching to the choir things. :) The kids came up with some really good questions!

I love Ron so much. Maybe we should become teachers.

I want more.

As soon as the clip ended I was like "Nooooooo he didn't get to finish the question!!" even though I already know what he's going to say.

I used to keep mine in my pocket, but it got all wrinkly. Now, I keep it in a drawer for special occasions when I will be educating Statists. ;):D:cool:

Yeah, mine doesn't exactly look pretty... but it's kinda like having a Bible in perfect condition; shows you don't read it too often. :p

I haven't memorized everything in the booklet yet, so it helps to be able to pull it out and read to people the exact wording of the 16th amendment. I did this today and reading it directly certainly has a more profound effect on people.

You can really tell how happy Ron is every time he gets to talk to students. All those lonely years in congress left him thinking that he would never be able to make more then a principled stand with his voting record, now I think he knows when he is going to speak with students that he may be talking to the generation that will finally make a stand for liberty, and it must warm his heart immensely. Noone deserves it more.

Isn't there a racist joke about how black males don't smile in pictures?
Am I racist for bringing this up?

I wish the crowd was more enthusiastic, or at the very least awake, but what can you expect from a public school.

The one girl asking about how he's a republican and about the great depression had good questions.

He was way too long winded and all over the place in his responses. Hes gotta realize his audience a little better in this scenario. I still enjoyed it.

I saw the end, but he seemed pretty good. Could be tightened up but I'm nut gonna bust his balls for not being Barack Obama who has a teleprompter in front of him the whole time/

That was a fun program. Man, when Ron gets going, he gets going man! I think it's the teacher in him that keeps trying to come out. Who else can go from talking about abortion to discussing the printing of money, all in the same answer??

I love Dr. Paul, because he is so genuine about what he speaks of. Although, I felt a lot of it probably went over the kids' heads; too bad, really, but some of the questions were decent.

My favorite stuff was hearing the personal anecdotes about his life, especially the medical stuff (disclosure: i'm a physician, so it's quite interesting to hear about it).

I love how Ron Paul talks to the kids just like he'd talk to anyone else! When I was growing up, I always hated how people and especially "children's books" would use a patronizing tone like I didn't have the intelligence to understand.

Young people are far more intelligent than they're given credit for, and the drivel they're commonly fed holds them back.

Some very good questions in there and so encouraging to see! That one girl wandered off reading the Constitution... awesome. :)

Anyone else get the feeling that the last question about Hoover and FDR was a plant from the teacher? The girl didn't seem too interesting in his answer.

I'm really glad that question came up though ... all the kids today are programmed to believe what Hoover did nothing and things got worse then the great president FDR/Obama stepped in with all the government programs to end the depression. So we need the government to fix things because the free market doesn't work  and only big brother can save us.

He's always like that. He'll ramble on, change topics, forget words to complete the thought, and then move on to a new topic to ramble some more. And yet somehow I know exactly what he's trying to communicate and is thinking. He's definitly not the best orator, but it's part of his charm that I love. He's just some old man speaking truth to power and doing so passionately and genuinely.

It's like another language that people who use their brains can understand. But sadly, this is America...so, ya. I mean I can understand him perfectly.

I've seen I joke about it on Family Guy - I was searching for the clip, but came across this instead:
