(FRANKFORT, KY.)--Dr. Rand Paul, who has recently formed an Exploratory Committee for the U.S. Senate, will be speaking at a rally in Juniper Hills Park on Saturday, May 23rd at 2:00pm. Paul plans to address the importance of sound economics as a solution to the current economic crisis.
While the current administration asks the American people to cut back and act fiscally responsible, Washington has done the exact opposite. Out of control spending and a mounting deficit can only mean higher taxes and even slower growth.
Since announcing his Exploratory Committee, Dr. Paul has been very enthused by the outpouring of volunteers and support, and the campaign has begun to organize throughout the State. Dr. Paul will continue traveling the State, speaking to community leaders and citizens to gauge support for the campaign.
Dr. Paul's entry into this race has nationalized the Kentucky campaign. With appearances on MSNBC and several nationally syndicated talk shows, Dr. Rand Paul has shown himself to be a rising star in the Republican Party, capable of delivering a message of limited government and personal liberty as a solution to our economic troubles.
For the past fifteen years, Dr. Paul has been the chairman of the Kentucky Taxpayers United, a group that monitors and rates the State Legislature.
