I'm just learning more about Rand Paul. This clip from Rand's site really shows how intelligent and well spoken he is. Seems cool as a cucumber too.

No teleprompter....no canned tralking points, intellectual, likeable, folksy, and sharp as a knife. Let no one say he is riding daddy's coat tails. Clearly Dr. Rand can make it on his OWN steam.

I look for the Establishment to go all out to try and nip young Rand in the bud.

Too bad he wouldn't be able to run for President in 2012. He'd have to announce around the same time he would be inaugurated as Senator in 2011.

Ron Paul must know a thing a two about raising kids. Rand seems like an all around awesome human being.

Every time I've seen him he has been very eloquent - more so than his father, even.

What I think he needs ( along with his father ) is an acting coach or someone to work on body language.

He's bobbing his torso around like a boxer most of the time. It's making me think he's trying to fake me out.

We need to support these guys, but I think someone needs to learn the lesson of Nixon and relate it to our candidates.

Obama announced in early 2007....inaugurated as a senator in early 2005...2 years

Rand would have to form an exploratory committee in early 2011.....weeks after taking office......

Besides, people would rag on Rand for not having enough experience if he ran for president in 2012 - let the man put a few notches under his belt in the Senate, and in 2016 all the youtube folks will have plenty of "Rand Paul was right" newsclips and videos ready to compile for promotional purposes
