I love the part where that ditzy Hasselbeck says torture is wrong, but advanced interrogation techniques are....

Jessie needs a history lesson, the United States Military got it's dose of waterboarding by the Japanese, well before Vietnam. That and he has no clue as to who and where waterboarding has been used and on whom, it's not just muslims but that makes it convenient for his diatribe.

to be honest, jesse is all talk no action now. he is just a talking head with no plans for action! he would be better off staying off tv,since he has no plans really to help our revolution other then "the view" babble!!!

nice to see him pawn her on the view, but jesse ventura is pretty much all talk no action now!

I agree, and I don't even agree with all of his talk. ;)

You don't think getting on the airwaves in front of millions to put a chickenshit like Dick Cheney in his place is doing the revolution good?

I think it does because there is a huge debate about torture, and the worst thing we can see happen is for America to accept torture as U.S policy. Torture needs to go into the trash heap of history.

Not everything is about running for the presidency. America needs to come to her senses, and change her attitude about alot of things before we have any chance of taking this country back.

I'm more concerned with winning over the hearts and minds of Americans so that when a Ventura or Paul does run in the future, America will be ready for the message.

I like Jesse simply because I think we need a tough guy that can't be pushed around by the Cheney types in debates. Plus, the neocon rank and file are gonna have a lot of trouble trying to bash Jesse's anti-war views since he was a SEAL. I mean, Jesse can neutralize any amerikan nationalist sentiments in the bud just by his reputation. Now, I'm not saying that he is the most ideal pro-liberty candidate as far as libertarianism goes but if we kept Judge Napolitano, The Paul's (father and son), Sanford, Johnson, Schiff, and Rockwell in the background as Ventura's intellectual ammo we'd be unstoppable. Socialism/Fascism would be quickly on its way out. I just hope that Jesse isn't a wolf in sheep's clothing.

The thing that annoys me most about Elizabeth Hasselbeck is that she gets all her talking points from Fox and talk radio. I'm sure she hasn't had an independent thought in her whole life.

Did you notice that whenever Jesse hit Hasselback with a brutal fact her response was
always what about the Democrats. She had nothing to respond with so she kept trying
to turn the focus away and she failed miserably. Jesse would just hit her with another
fact.

Unfortunately, "action" doesn't only consist of running for high office. I'd consider making the media rounds to be action. The revolution is better off with Jesse owning morons on TV than if he wasn't.

I'd like to see him run for President though. He's probably waiting for the perfect time more than anything else.

she is spewing the party line like a drone. Anyway, Jesse can own in debates even though he is not as smart as us. He can get people excited and wild!

Agreed. I have some strong disagreements with Ventura, but he is most certainly an ally and a man who can deliver parts of our message with extreme effectiveness.

Just compare Ron Paul on the View, to Ventura. Who's better at holding their own?

Ron Paul is way smarter, and know's way more about what's going on but Ventura knows how to deliver the point. He does need some education on Keynesian vs Austrian economics though, thats' for dam sure.

well i heard jesse ventura at the rally for the republic. I think it is great he is talking ,but it seems he kinda of quit on us.. this is not the same jesse that spoke at the rally for the republic. i would assume the power folks got to him somehow!!

I have more respect for Adam Kokesh then Jesse Ventura!! just my opinion

from what i have heard it doesn't sound like jesse will run for anything! but i guess things can change!

Nah, I think he went back to surfing and sort of went back to sleep a little. How long has he been fully awake, if at all? There are guys who are more hardcore than Ventura who still fall back into the matrix thinking one team is less bad than the other. Most of us know it is a sham, but even on this board people fall into the same trap.

He needs to read up on economics to understand how insidious Obama's policies are. What he said on Hannity was that he read books on Guantanomo, torture, etc. The authors of these books may defend the left, more than the right.

I think his heart is in the right place, but he may have been burnt out on politics, and he has made the point several times before that there may not be enough of us to convince him that the country wants freedom. I don't think he has been compromised by the powers that be, although he does know that if he were to make to make a serious run, his life would be in jeopardy.

oh please. give it a break. Nobody can get to Jesse, the man is an independent.

You don't speak to a group of educated libertarians and the uneducated masses in the same way - it just stupid politics. You have to ride different wavelengths. For instance, you have to include alot more "I don't know" so as to make it go down easier on people.

What Jesse is doing is terribly needed, he's a steamroller. He'll get more popularity if he sticks to what he's doing rather than appealing to just a few percent of the population

i hope your right.

he's already catching on, right?

We need progressives and independents to come on board with what Ron Paul and the libertarians started. And some progressive blogs are liking what Jesse is saying.

Let's be totally honest with ourselves, in this day and age, with forty and more years of the welfare state behind us, there will no be strict and pure libertarian in the president's office in 2012. I'm not saying lets compromise but lets stick with reality. In 2020? Definitely, especially if we continue to educate the young voters. This century could be the century dominated by small government libertarianism, just as the last century it a was big government conservative/liberal coalition running the whole show, starting wars and depressions.

Baby steps is what's needed. First candidates like Jesse who are not fully libertarian but share many sympathies to get in office and reverse the last 50 years trend. Then, candidates like Rand Paul get to shine.

If Ron Paul said he won't run in 2012, you wouldn't say he quit on us...

I heard Ron Paul say he's not running in 2012. Jesse Ventura is a surfer... why is there no criticism of Obama on this forum? tones
