You can't make this stuff up. We are on one hell of a slippery slope. Who else will be bailed out; my local dry cleaner? Bernanke, fire up the presses (no pun intended...err maybe a little pun).

Here ya go:

The saddest part of that article is that it lists yet another company biting the dust after more than a hundred years of profitable operation.

There are a lot of very old companies being run into the ground by this generation.

A few years ago I would have just said "unbelievable" but this is not out of the realm of my belief anymore. Good God almighty, when are my fellow citizens going to have enough of this? When are we going to do something besides send angry e-mails and wave flags and hold signs with tea bags taped to them?

It definitely is sad. It hits close to home. I lost my company to the current economic environment. I absolutely sympathize.

Tailoring companies tend to be family owned for generations and a lot of sweat equity is involved for years. I truly feel for them.

I'm simply saying, when do we stop stick-saving every business with someone else’s money --It sure didn’t happen for me. But then, I wasn't politically connected or from Chicagoland.

Loss of sales and inabiblity to borrow were listed as reasons for the BK. No shit. You cannot BORROW your way out of debt. Why is this so difficult to understand. I truly feel for them as well, but if they have been in the habit of borrowing to sustain business, then they should fall.

War and welfare have wasted too much resources and wealth of this great country......
