And the Silent Guardian? Raytheon's Mac Jeffery says it is being looked at only by the "North American military and its allies" and is not being sold to countries with questionable human rights records.

Might be reading too much into this but, Is that what it will be called? Not very exciting.. now that ray gun on the other hand, seems like an effective crowd-dispersal method for when TSHTF and the cattle are rounded up.

I don't like the sound of the device and I don't like the sound of "North American Military."

I saw a demonstration of this device on a show "Future Weapons". The host, a retired Navy SEAL was put in small area and about 50 yards away they had the device. When it was turned on he ran out of the designated area in pain. This thing is scary. I believe it will be able to work through walls. An easy way to get people to exit a building.

Seems like the CIA has found a suitable replacement for waterboarding...

Like any other system this one too will be hacked, mis-used, abused, stolen, and put to bad use somewhere along the way.

The clever ones will figure out the selected frequencies and how to reflect them back to the sender. :D

There are also sound wave versions of similar devices.

What?
I graduated in engineering and read tech stuff a lot. "They" have been working on this for a while.

This is a perfect torture device. Have someone locked up in a room and just turn on "the machine" and the guy will sing like a canary. Best part it leaves no marks and does no permanent harm.
