Neglect: The Tragedy of Liberty

We were once deprived of you.
We paid with our lives for you.

We rejoiced because we had you.
We became great because of you.

We began to expect you.
We forgot to respect you.

We start expecting more from you.
We want more than the promise of you.

We look to something not you.
We offer to exchange you.

We will soon be deprived of you.
We will pay with our lives for you.

I don't pretend to be a poet.

Mock away
I've convinced myself this is related to general politics, if a mod disagrees, I apologize.

Im sorry my friend,

Your poety is nice..

But.

We lost freedom in 1933 with the loss of the common law legal system.

We gained liberty, when we became debter slaves in 1933, and while we get liberty on the weekend, we must go back to work, to pay a never ending debt, every week.. and the debt cannot be paid off.

We have liberty.

We have the ACLU, to protect it.

We want, and have lost constitution common law freedom.

having said that..

I did like the poem.
