Wow that was a decisive answer... Either he was already familiar with 1207 and planned to cosponser it anyway, or he hasn't heard of it at all and then it's unclear whether he will flipflop on this promise after he looks into it...
Edit: he voted against the bailout, so he's not in the pocket of Obama and Geithner, i.e. there's a good chance that he'll make good on his promise.
Edit2: I think this video proves that a good strategy to influence more members of congress to support HR1207 is to go to townhall meetings of Democratic Reps. who voted against the bailout and try to push them to express their support for transparency by cosponsoring 1207 (the roll call of the first bailout vote is http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll674.xml and the second vote is http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll681.xml)

Outstanding. A friend of mine (RP meetup) claims to have Inslee's ear when it comes to economic issues. i'm sure Mr. Inslee was familiar with the bill. Way to go guys.

Now, we have 3 democrats from King County (Seattle area) on board. The one we're missing is R Dave Reichert - my guy.

I'm hoping a few people here will adopt Dave (WA - 8) as their own. Here's his phone number (202) 225-7761 . He voted against the bail out and has expressed disappointment about not knowing where-the-hell the money's going. But, in spite of numerous requests, has not cosponsored HR 1207.

This guy needs some help and this place is by far the best place to ask for it. Adopt Dave Reichert (R, WA, 8th CD) please.
