Remember Ben Bernanke saying that they had a private agency that audits the fed in the newest Ron Paul vs. Bernanke Youtube? Well here's the Inspector General of that agency being questioned by Congressmen Alan Grayson(D)(FL-8)(co-sponsor of HR 1207).

You won't believe your eyes....well maybe you will, but WOW, if this doesn't drop some jaws I don't know what will.

Contact Rep. Alan Grayson and thank him for questioning her and encourage him to go full throttle with this. It's time to get Democrat congressman Grayson to take charge and get other Democrats to co-sponsor H.R1207. This could be the moment it takes off.

His contact info.

My question is, who is this lady and who is she married/related to because she apparently has no idea what her job description is.

The majority of traffic to that youtube clip is coming from Huff Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/05/06/fed-inspector-general-kno_n_197934.html). Interesting to read the comments there.

yes yes and more yes. Comes right on the heels of Bernankes transparency comment to Ron Paul. Shows just how little oversight they actually have.

Is there a transcript of this interrogation, available online? (The one featuring Grayson and the woman.)

I couldn't find a transcript as of yet but here is the Huffington POst's Article with an Update response from Coleman herself.

Here is Inspector General Colman's response the Huffinton Post article grilling her for knowing almost nothing.

Coleman responds:

Let me clarify a common misconception about my office's responsibilities. By law, we are the Office of Inspector General for the Board of Governors only. I am not the Inspector General for the 12 Reserve Banks.

The lending programs operated by the Reserve Banks expanded the Federal Reserve's balance sheet.

Reserve Bank audit and oversight is provided by:

•The Board of Governors through its supervisory and oversight functions;

•An independent public accounting firm that conducts the annual financial statement audit,
the results of which appear on the Board's website;

•Reserve Bank General Auditors, who report to the Bank's Audit Committee;

•The Government Accountability Office; and

•The Special Inspector General for TARP (for those lending programs that include TARP
funds).

Consistent with my authority, we cannot conduct a direct audit of Reserve Bank operations.
However, as the Board's IG, my office is reviewing the Board's supervisory and oversight
functions as they relate to the Reserve Bank's lending programs.

She is performing her job description admirably. Her job description would have to be-know nothing-do nothing.

She will likely be promoted-maybe to the NY Fed job-for her non-answering abilities. Awkward, true, but in the end she gave no answers-save one. No one is conducting any over sight at the Fed.

Well done Ms. Coleman. You are an idiot just like the rest of them. You are all pulling the wool over the eyes of a a sleeping sheeple public and some of us know it.
:rolleyes:

These late-to-the-fire congressman are so funny now when they try to be like RP to appease their constituents now that they are out of power and have lost all credibility. You can tell that they have just probably read a book or something that Ron recommended to them and are trying to really sound like they have free market street cred.

Like Michelle Bachman recently finding religion and talking a good game to Geitner about the constitutionality of the bailout, or blaming Roosevelt for Hoover's horrific tariff act etc.

Were glad to have their help. But I just hope they keep studying because they haven't been studying Austrian economics for half a century (and voting constitutionally for a quarter century) like RP has and are likely to not be able to hold their own in debates and interviews.
