Go to primarilypaul . com

If you live in the State of:
AZ,CA,CO,CT,Delaware,FL,Hawaii,IA,KS,K Y,LA,ME,
MD,MA,NE,NV,NH,NJ,NM,NY,NC,OK,OR,PA,RI ,SD,UT,WA,
WV,WY,D.C.,Guam, Northern Mariana Islands,US Virgin Islands -
You MUST register Republican to vote in the primaries!

Better still register as a delegate! Ron Paul needs delegates to support him in the actual votes in the primaries!

DO NOT HESITATE...or it will be all for nothing.
All of our work will be worthless.

Make an appointment with yourself NOW. REGISTER as a REPUBLICAN IN YOUR STATE THIS WEEK.

Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes before it's too late.

This is the email I received from the North Carolina Board of Elections:

The election calendar is attached.

The Primaries are open for unaffiliated voters. You may vote either Republican or Democratic, but not both.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Subject: Questions concerning Republican primaries

I have several questions concerning the 2008 Presidential primary elections.

1. When is the primary?

2. Must you be registered as a Republican to vote in the primary, or is it open?

3. What is the deadline for changing party affiliation to vote in the primary?

Thank you,
xxxxxx

I'm going to call them again today to confirm this.

Yes, we definitely need a Sticky that lists each state and the date to Register to vote in their Primary for Ron Paul. It's soon, so we have to get it the information out there ASAP.

Alright, I just called. NC only recognizes two parties: Republican and Democrat.

Unaffiliated voters can vote in either primary.

If you are a registered Democrat. you CANNOT vote in the Republican primary, and vice versa.

Deadline is 25 days BEFORE the election.

Call them at (919) 733-7173.

I'd like someone else to call and confirm this, in case I misunderstood. Just to warn you, the guy I spoke with was a jerk.

I feel stupid but here goes.

1. Where do you go to register as a Republican.
2. How do you become a delegate?

good!

Arizona

I'm not finding much on AZ, maybe someone else has state convention delegate info. AZ is a winner-take-all closed primary, so the delegates vote with the popular vote. I think you'll have to contact your county GOP chair and ask about becoming a delegate. As far as I can tell, the selection process is just that, a selection. So cozy up to those republicans! www.azgop.org for contact info.

Also, though it's old school, you can pick up a voter registration card in any post office.

yes, sortof...you're able to select a ballot, but in doing so, you register Republican.
from: http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P08/WA-R.phtml
Voters are required to sign a form stating they are Republicans (as voters do not have to declare political party membership to vote in the state's regular primaries or general elections).

The primary picks 19 delegates to the RNC, but the state caucus picks the other 18. Very important that you Washingtonians? get some delegates to the state convention!!!

Hm, I don't see Texas on the first list. Does that mean I can vote for him in TX without registering? That'll save me a couple hours and some money for copying XD.

OHIO
Choice of Party. You do not register with a party if you want to take part in that party’s primary election. Party affiliation is established by voting at a primary election.

That makes it easy for us Ohioans. But now that means after the primary we'll be bombarded with GOP junk mail.
