Senator Specter has launched “Specter for the Cure”, a bold new initiative to reform our government’s medical research efforts, cut red tape and unstrangle the hope for accelerated cures.

The sufferers of cancer, autism, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, diabetes and too many other afflictions have waited long enough. It’s time we unleashed the cure.

Here's where it gets good: read the fine print.It's really a mere re-election fundraising site.

Yup ;). It's so disgusting. If a private con artist like Madoff did this there would be a special program on TV. This is even worse...asking for donations for cancer research and then using it for a political race. So craven and despicable :mad:

Yeah here's the video of him pimping the website on all the Sunday talk shows...as part of the fight against cancer of course. I went to it when he was on Meet the Press and the site was crashed due to the number of visitors.
