If that article (http://tekgnosis.typepad.com/tekgnosis/2009/05/vote-rand-paul.html) wasn't put out there by a sock puppet trying to make Rand Paul look bad to most of the Republican voters.. then... well..

I would like to know Rand's stand regarding Obama's eligibility for office. I don't know if he is or isn't a natural citizen of the USA, as is required by the Constitution. But after numerous suits filed in courts at many level, including the Supreme Court, every one has been dismissed on the grounds that those who filed them lacked the proper standing. If the SC is unwilling to validate the eligibility for the highest office in the land, why do they exist at all? Are they no the ones entrusted with the responsibility to assure that we are in compliance with the Constitution? Why would they even wait for someone to file suit before they felt compelled to fulfill their responsibility?

After contacting our Kentucky Congressmen, I was told by each one that they felt it was appropriate NOT to interfere with issues under the pervue of the courts. Translated I believe that means, "we were too cowardly to get involved". There have been numerous ocassions on which Congress has lobbied the SC on issues of importance. If this issue doesn't meet the "importance" quota, I don't know what does. There is every reason to be suspicious, given that to prove his legitimacy would be so easy, unless of course he is not legitimate.

So again, my question is whether Dr. R. Paul would be more courageous than his predecessors.

Rand Paul will do this... that... this... that... Well, I haven't seen Rand release any platform yet....

This is about as good as it gets on knowing where Rand stands.

He pretty much replicates his father's positions as they both consistently stand for the principles of liberty. His presentation is a little more conservative sounding when he talks, but he is just as much against a US global empire and just as much for an honest monetary system with a small, limited constitutional government. He's also a doctor.

Don't worry, it would be political suicide for Rand to do anything against liberty. Remember, he has no support in the establishment, his only support is us and the good people of Kentucky. Plus, his father would disown him. ;)

I think it is safe to assume that Rand is one of us and that we'd be happy with the way he votes.
