PREVIEW: Obama will speak for roughly 15 minutes this morning on tax reform, beginning just after 11 a.m. In his remarks, he will not single out specific companies as tax violators, a White House aide said. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is also expected to speak. Obama and Geithner won’t be taking any questions from reporters. -- Amie Parnes (10:21 a.m.)

1) Replacing Tax Advantages for Creating Jobs Overseas With Incentives to Create Them at Home
• Reforming Deferral Rules to Curb A Tax Advantage for Investing and Reinvesting Overseas
• Closing Foreign Tax Credit Loopholes
• Using Savings To Make Permanent The Tax Credit for Investing in Research and Experimentation at Home

2) Getting Tough on Overseas Tax Havens
• Eliminating Loopholes for “Disappearing” Offshore Subsidiaries
• Cracking Down on the Abuse of Tax Havens by Individuals
• Devoting New Resources for IRS Enforcement to Help Close the International Tax Gap (10:57 a.m.)

So basically, Obama's idea of "tax reform" is to add more "enforcement" to collect taxes. Wonderful reform. :rolleyes:
