Hello,

Why are there donors listed on the FEC website even if their cumulative donation is under 200 dollars? I've seen this several times. Sometimes a donor only gives a 100 dollars and is listed?

Thanks.

Maybe RP only has to report donors 200 or over, but chose to list others as well. Maybe the FEC is reporting what ever RP reported to them.

Can anyone confirm this?

I don't see why the campaing would report things they didn't have to, especially as some donate under the 200 dollar limit so that it is not public information.

Are you serious?

So even if you donate 10 bucks to Ron Paul's campaign, but had donated 195 dollars 4 years ago to another candidate you would be listed?

Hamadeh's statement is incorrect according to what is posted on Ron Paul's website: "Federal law requires we report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for contributions of more than $200.00 per election cycle."

This says that they don't even need to report contributions under $200.

So again, my question is why are donors listed even if their cumulative donation to Ron Paul this election cycle is under $200.00?

I can't get the fec.gov website to produce any answers at all on searches.
