"Nardelli [the CEO] says the new company will be run by a nine-person board, with six picked by the government and three by Fiat. The board will pick a new CEO.

Fiat, run away. You don't want any part of this. Trust me.

Humor is a lethal weapon when properly applied... ;)

In fact, a separate thread should be started illustrating the application of humor to situations in order to promote or demote people useful to our movement of restoring constitutional liberty. Cite historical examples of people and agendas decimated or promoted through the shrewd application of humor. I'm serious. Ron Paul needs to work on this aspect of his personality. He'd be absolutely deadly if he did.

I've heard bankruptcy renders all the union contracts and agreements null. Is that going to happen here?

Given the neverending string of bailouts, I'd say the answer is no--because they won't be allowed to declare bankruptcy.

Not that the UAW owns any Democratic lawmakers or anything...
