Ron Paul was omitted from the list of the top 100 most influential people in the world.

So apparently these people are more influential:

Michelle Obama
Ed Kennedy
Hillary Clinton
Sarah Palin
Paul Krugman
Nate Silver (??? Democrat blogger ???)

Well sadly, it's probably true.

I think some of the ones on your list ARE more influential - just not in a good way.

No way. More people have heard of Ron Paul than half the friggin' people on that list. What a bunch of BS.

I'm not sure that name recognition is a good definition of "influential."

I agree with Eric. Ron Paul has spawned an entire movement. Just think, we're close to getting the first ever audit of the Federal Reserve. People from all over the country are taking action to retake the Republican party and return it to the party of limited government and constitutional principles.

In my book, that's pretty damned "influential". :)

Here were my YouTube comments when Time was soliciting suggestions (remember they have a fairly small character limit.)

I vote for Ron Paul.

If you want to understand why TIME will NOT choose Ron Paul, however, do this...
1) Go to Google.com
2) Type "Trilateral Commission Usurping"
3) Hit "I Feel lucky"
4) Read the article. Note the part about TIME magazine and Jimmy Carter.

I've got my money on TIME selecting Obama. Brzezinski and Albright are his foreign policy advisors. Jimmy Carter and Ex-Fed Chairman Paul Volker both endorsed him. Four of the most prominent Trilaterals.

For those who say that Ron Paul isn't the "person who, for better or for worse, has most influenced the news this year": In 2006 Time chose the millions of contributors of user-generated content to Wikipedia, YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, Digg, etc, as Person of the Year, personified simply as You. On the cover it said: "Yes, you. You control the Information Age. Welcome to your world." "We" clearly choose Ron Paul this year. Search "Ron Paul Jerry Day" on YouTube for more proof.

The poll and Time are equally worthless.

Remember that Hitler was Time Magazine Man of the Year 1938 (http://www.scrapbookpages.com/DachauMemorial/TimeCover.html), for being "most influential".

I actually feel proud that Dr Paul didn't make the cut.

 Being considered for that title isn't an honor or dishonor, it's just an observation that that particular person had influence over a lot of people. You can't say that Hitler had no influence in 1938. That being said, I think Paul should have been included in the top 100, at least somewhere in the middle of the pack.

If they do a survey in 2059 of who were the top 100 people in 2009, I have no question Ron Paul would be on that list.

It's a very easy list to figure out. All the leftist icons are on there, as well as idiots in Holywood. Then, a few "conservative" throwins to claim objectivity. We ARE talking about the same magazine that had Hitler and Stalin on their cover.

Isn't Time a CIA asset? A cold day in hell before they will give publicity to the Constitution movement.

"moot" is on the list so yes I think that was the poll. Our votes were just completely "forgotten" by the TIME shills. What a load of horse shit. Fuck you TIME magazine.

ETA: They show RP as 27th in their voting poll, with 2.5 million votes, more than almost everyone else. The View had 550,000 votes. Guess which of those two made the final 100 list? And since when is a TV show a 100 most influential PERSON?

ETA2: I sent an email letter to TIME's editor but surprise, it bounced back as delivery failure with no explanation. They are probably filtering out emails with "Ron Paul" in the body. ETA3: False alarm. All emails are bouncing. Guess they got slammed already.

Yes, this is true. Even msm sources like wikipedia talk about how Time Magazine was part of Operation Mockingbird.

Research C.D. Jackson also.

The poll and Time are equally worthless.

From what I remember the 4Chan/moot group ran a program that voted "moot"with 10 rating and voted Ron Paul with a 0 rating. So they saw that RP was getting a lot of votes and knocked down their "competition" to win the poll. If you rank it by votes RP is like 5th or something but his rating is low. It's b.s.
