ALERT! GOP Straw Poll REMOVES the “NONE” Option & Gives Paul 0%!
September 18, 2007 |
As if Neo CON deception wasn't blatant enough, by REMOVING Ron Paul for WINNING their poll, now the national GOP Straw Poll has removed the category of "NONE", after news stories were beginning to report that "NONE" represented the vote for Ron Paul!

So lets go pick Gingrich and put him in first.

They're such head in the sand denial idiots. The GOP deserves to hemorrhage members, crash and burn into oblivion. It's like they are the charge-setters of their own controlled demolition.

It will be a lot easier for us to rebuild once they fully implode.

Anyways, saw this on digg a while ago and thought I might bring this to everyone's attention.

Since the GOP Strawpoll banned Ron Paul from its online poll, Ron Paul supporters have been flooding the site. Result: 'None' is winning the poll. (It should be noted emphatically that neither FMNN nor the Ron Paul campaign encourages any spamming of any kind in support of this rapidly advancing presidential candidate.) FMNN reported on the banning today, "Let the Banning Begin," here:

http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=49045

Results: 'None' has forged ahead of the second leading candidate, Romney, as of 1:30 PM/ETA

(none) 951 (40.3%)
Romney 699 (29.6%)
F. Thompson 264 (11.2%)
Huckabee 120 (5.1%)
Giuliani 99 (4.2%)
Hunter 68 (2.9%)
Gingrich 65 (2.8%)
Tancredo 59 (2.5%)
McCain 24 (1%)
Brownback 10 (0.4%)
Paul 1 (0%)

Unfortunately, the website currently has "fixed" that and Ron Paul's name is no where to be found.

I'm not sure EXACTLY what happened that triggered the website admin/owner to remove Ron Paul's name in the first place.....

I have to say, the days that have follow the launch the most recent straw poll have been interesting and irritating.

I've received plenty of from Ron Paul's online army. Ironically, they all say pretty much the same thing and either have an attitude of faux naiveté, "I'm sure this was a simple mistake," or an angry tone demanding Ron Paul be included in the poll and accusing me of being biased, afraid, etc. etc.

Let's make this clear. Yes, Ron Paul was deliberately excluded from the poll for reasons stated more than once in the past. However, his exclusion has nothing to do with him, his candidacy, or his positions. Ron Paul's exclusion has everything to do with the actions of his supporters, and in one instance, a member of his campaign. I've received emails from Paul's supporters which are not only insulting, but harassing. Some have gone so far as to contact my web host by phone ... at his house. This is unacceptable and ridiculously inappropriate conduct.

The answer to this problem is very simple. Ron Paul's inclusion in the straw poll has been and will continued to be based solely upon the conduct of his supporters.

So, Ron Paul will not be included in next month's poll. If I or my web host receive one email or phone call from an angry supporter when the next poll launches, Paul will be excluded from the next month's poll, and so on.

Ron Paul's inclusion/exclusion from the straw poll is in the hands of his supporters.

there went the credibility of his poll. you dont poll people and exclude options. and if he didn't exclude people he wouldn't have heard from anyone in any way other than votes.

Paul is not there either. None is not a choice, but maybe that's what's picked when all are chosen as "unacceptable."

I just go an vote unacceptable for all the choices. He excludes our candidate because he doesn't want him to win. He's a liar.

This cant be tolerated, this means anyone who is against Ron Paul can harass any other poll and he can be excluded. Someone needs to set this straight.

But his argument is completely garbage, RP hasnt been on there poll for some time now online.

They are going to have to lose the 2008 election to figure out what they did wrong.

No, they dont intend on winning the election. The top tier candidates are democrats also. Just more political bullshit, playing with the system.

His entire argument is such bullshit, though. It's a logical fallacy.

Either he had Ron Paul up and took his name down due to the actions of his supporters... but why would his supporters be angry if Paul's name is in the poll?

Or Paul was not in the poll, and Paul supporters contacted him. This seems to be the case, but then why wouldn't he put Paul's name up immediately? Unless he was barraged by hundreds of nasty emails and the supposed rudeness before he had a chance to go online and change the poll or make a statement.

His explanation might be his reasoning now, but what were his original reasons for excluding Paul? Why wasn't the mistake fixed quickly, or at the very least an acknowledgment that Paul is not listed and will be soon?
