Ron Paul's campaign funds are not as "stellar" as some, so we know his supporters are on a budget (unlike our country). Here are some easy and inexpensive ideas for spreading the word:
1. Car caravans (as demonstrated by Oklahoma City--Google it)
2. Obvious street sign waving events, the impact cannot be underestimated!
3. Wearing your Ron Paul gear any/every place conceivable: grocery store, gym, shopping, movie theaters, jogging, etc. Become a moving billboard for Ron. People WILL ASK!
4. Organizing "Paul at the Mall" days when the weather gets colder so your Meet Up groups can invade your local malls, much like the car caravan idea above, but on foot.
5. Chalk your sidewalks! Some college campuses are doing this, but where else can you "legally" get away with it? Give it some thought.
6. Leave a pamphlet or RP business card at restaurants or wherever you tip...but leave a GOOD tip when you do...lol.
7. Make up simple slogans/signs on 8.5x11 paper, simple B&W print, that you can post on telephone polls at busy intersections...along with all those "work at home" and "lost pet" pieces we all see...and read!
8. Halloween is coming, so whatever you dress up as (in good taste), wear a Ron Paul sign/sticker to go with it (i.e. Gorillas for Ron Paul, Doctors/Nurses for Ron Paul, Jedi Knights for Ron Paul...you get the idea). Just no "Clowns for Ron Paul"...that's the OTHER guys...lol. This goes for dressing up your kids as well
Have your kids give out RP pamphlets as they go door-to-door. Who can turn down/away those cute little messengers? Are they too small? Then mom and dad, YOU give them out after your kids collect their candy at the door as your way of saying "thanks."
9. Have a local printer make the RP business card graphic into a sticky note pad (these are pretty cheaply done), so you can affix them easily to windows, lockers, etc. These are easy for people to remove and a more "considerate" way of promoting vs. sticking something in a windshield or taping to a surface. Your Meet Up group can canvass a parking lot MUCH quicker using these and, again, they are far less intrusive to car and building owners.
10. But the biggest reminder, as Ron himself states, "HAVE FUN" while you're doing it! You attract a lot more people and interest if you're having fun with a smile on your face!
