There has been lot of churn in recent months about who introduced and funded Obama. There were numerous reports/speculations in even in US press that Obama was introduced to AIPAC lobby by a "terrorist" for early election funding and Obama rewarded by appointing his son as White House COS as his first appointment after winning election:

More than half of American public seems to think that, so it's not exactly an anamoly even if it seems that way on this forum.

You make a valid point though given governance we have seen but possibly a government can do good if it gets out of the way of progress and limits itself to only its essential duties.

Lazy poll choices could have been better thought out on second thought as poll is bit too focussed on measuring just the "lapdog quotient" of dem leaders like Obama. But "Other" choice stilll gives people room to specify what they think after 100 days of the show.
