I'm optimistic about it getting through the House--yesterday they reported that a total of 88 co-sponsors exist for the bill already after 33 new people have signed onto it just this week.

The Senate may be more difficult to overcome, but even so, will Barack Obama sign this into law??

well...we have to continue to work hard. When it passes the house..and if the senate balks...it should let people know that this government truly does NOT want transparency. I think this is a VERY good time to be calling for ANY kind of transparency! I think they will find themselves between a rock and a hard place. tones

If we recruit enough support for it in Congress, it won't matter whether Obama vetos it or not.

If he sticks with his campaign promises, yes. Since it is pretty clear that he really didn't mean most of those things now that he won, we don't know.

And overriding his veto--in a Congress controlled by the Democrats and almost certainly over the 'nay' vote of the Speaker of the House--would be one hell of a victory in so many ways.

By not signing hr 1207 wit would further expose him as the sham that he is. No accountability, no transparency in government....

Now now don't forget that the FED is not a part of government

the federal reserve act gives it its power to have a monopoly over money.
is a government protected cartel private?

Didn't Obama say "I think it is inappropriate to question the Federal Reserve"

Yes, because it says that President Obama approves of and endorses inflation and currency control with no oversight - HIGHLY relevant to our social situation today.
