Hi everyone,

Barry Pardee (NY Coordinator for the 4/15 tea parties,) and myself have begun organizing an event in 2010 called "The Liberty Festival." It is to take place in September on The Great Lawn in Central Park, NY. Through facebook and posting on such forums like Liberty Forest we have growing support for the event. We have a draft proposal prepared for John Tate (President of CampaignForLiberty.com) and are going to pitch the idea to him soon. We need all the support we can get to show Mr. Tate that this event would be both beneficial to C4L and to Liberty Lovers around the country. I am posting the draft proposal below. If you have any suggestions/corrections please email them to me at Ian.Cioffi@gmail.com. If you would like to volunteer please email myself or Barry Pardee at bpardee315@gmail.com.

Thank You.

To John Tate
Proposal for Liberty Festival Sept/2010
NYC Central Park-The Great Lawn

Objective: To spread constitutional values through music, poetry, and public speaking.

Event's messages (open to suggestions)

1)Humble Foreign Policy
2)Audit The Fed
3)End the Income Tax
4)End the Patriot Act
5)Open the Presidential Debates to 3rd parties

Benefits to event

1)Location, Location: NYC is the media hub of the world. Create a major event
in NYC on the Great Lawn, and you are going to get both local and national
media coverage.
2)Message to Conservatives: Being able to bring thousands of conservatives
together in a state that has been deemed liberal for life would give motivation
to future conservative campaigns not to write off New York.
3)Timing is everything: 2010 Will be an important election year and
September is when campaigns really heat up. “Liberty Festival” would be
the biggest political show in the country just as politicians begin their
campaigns. Part of the money raised to pay for the event could come from
campaign ads at the event.

Lot's of luck with getting the proper permits for this, HA HA HA.

We have to pull permits and ask permission to have a freedom rally?:rolleyes:
