YEAH BABY! If Nancy Pelosi and any of the Corrupt Clowns alter or halt this HR in committee... the country has entered 100% tyranny on the people and the politicians are on the "TAKE" of the Banks/Wall street.

We SHALL SEE, 71 Co-sponsors is kickass and something the corrupt committees can't bury.

I see that GOP NEOCON insider clicke Mike Pence, jumped on the band wagon yesterday. It's starting to look like the RNC/GOP trying to hijack the TEA PARTIES ideas and morphing to what is now popular with the people.

Then, I'm sure there are the planned deal to recruit congress critters in the back rooms, etc.

I presume Kucinich will seal his signature on the deal sometime soon?

Got it on National TV multiple times, I wondering what the Nielson ratings were for last April 15th on the FOX channels? I think it's paying off, eh?

I'm your neighbor over in NY and I've got the same problem. 8 NY Reps on the House Finance Committee! You would think that since most of them are Dems, they would want to take the lead in holding Obama's promise for government transparency. You would think... :(

Hey, a co-sponsor is a co-sponsor....

Pence is the congressman from my district. I'm just glad I don't have to write any more letters urging him to sign on. I'll just send one quick "Thank you" note...

Regarding the NeoCon hijacking of the movement... ugh. You're right, that's what it looks like. It means we'll have to be on our toes to let the masses and the mass media know what the Tea Parties, and *especially* HR 1207 are really about.

The good thing is, since it's Ron Paul's bill, he should get some major face time on TV if this thing gets passed. I hope he really takes the NeoCon Right to task for the way they've been hijacking the Freedom/Liberty movement.

This is so underhanded, I love it! These people are so ignorant that they don't even realize the source of much of their power comes from the discreet manner in which the Fed operates. They sign on to this bill because they feel its politically safe, but its going to undermine everything they do if it becomes law.

Are you looking for a pre-written constituent letter, such as a form letter people can print and sign?

If you go to www.ronpaul.com and scroll down the page a ways, there is a form letter under the "Step 2" heading.

Here's the text: (mind, it needs updating in terms of the new cosponsors!!)

Dear Representative,

Please co-sponsor and/or support H.R.1207, an effort to audit the Federal Reserve.

Recently, it has come to light that there is little to no accountability to the people on the part of the Federal Reserve. While the citizens of this country are required by law to give an accounting of every penny they come in contact with, the Federal Reserve has never been held to the same standard. During this time of extreme economic crisis, the people deserve an accounting of where our money is going.

Currently there are 71 co-sponsors for this legislation, and it is enjoying bi-partisan support. Your efforts in supporting this important legislation would go a long way in proving to your constituents that you not only hold the Federal Reserve to the same standard as you do your constituents, but it would also show that you believe in transparency. Anything less than support for this resolution suggests that you are in favor of secrecy and a lack of accountability to the people who pay the bills. We pay the tab; we have a right to know where our money is going.

Unlike recent bills that you voted in favor of that had hundreds of pages and just a few hours to read, this bill can be read in under 5 minutes. I encourage you to take the time to read it, and then move to support it.

Thank you in advance for your attention on this important legislation. I have every expectation that you will do right by your constituents and support this measure.

Sincerely,

Thanx... I found the one I was looking for in saved folder.

88 co-sponsors, wow!

The Federal Reserve can enter into agreements with foreign central banks and foreign governments, and the GAO is prohibited from auditing or even seeing these agreements. Why should a government-established agency, whose police force has federal law enforcement powers, and whose notes have legal tender status in this country, be allowed to enter into agreements with foreign powers and foreign banking institutions with no oversight? Particularly when hundreds of billions of dollars of currency swaps have been announced and implemented, the Fed's negotiations with the European Central Bank, the Bank of International Settlements, and other institutions should face increased scrutiny, most especially because of their significant effect on foreign policy.
