Ron Paul's audit the Fed bill has gone to committee. The committee has about 30 Democrats and 20 Republicans. They all need to know that we want that bill to go to the floor.

If your Representative is on this list, for the love of Ron call them!

If your Rep is not on the list, call them anyway...

BUMP!!!

We can't stop caring now. Force a House vote!!! If you call your reps to death, they may at least vote for it in committee if they won't cosponsor it!

My rep is on there, and he's co sponsoring it, so it's cool. I don't like him though, but it's nice that he openly supports it.

It's always been in committee. The question is, have they moved it to be voted on? Where's your source?

I just found out on this list that my first term Republican Congressman (whom I've been emailing and faxing and calling to get his position on this bill and to urge him to support it) is on the committee! Looks like another few phone calls/faxes/emails are in order...

Yo Lynn Jenkins! End the Fed!

Or at the very least vote to audit it.

I'll try to get around to contacting old Lynnie gal. Even if I did vote for her opponent in the primary...

That's what I've been thinking. What's the difference? Doesn't every bill go to committee?

RED ALERT! HR 1207 is IN COMMITTEE!
Posted April 21st, 2009 by Michael Nystrom
From Steven Vincent:

Ron Paul's bill to Audit the Federal Reserve Bank, HR 1207, has now garnered 55 co-sponsors and has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services. This is a major development. The bill will now be debated and voted upon in the Committee and will then either go to the House for a debate and vote or will be defeated.

MOST BILLS DIE IN COMMITTEE FOR LACK OF SUPPORT. There is no way to know how long it will stay in Committee. That means it's all up to YOU.

It's a major step forward for our movement to get the House to even consider a bill which questions the autonomous authority of the Fed. We MUST make the most of this opportunity!

IMAGINE THE NEWS ON TUESDAY MORNING. “Flood of phone calls shuts down Congressional Switchboard”. YES WE CAN!

On April 25th:
Rally for Sound Money and Support HR 1207
at every Federal Reserve Bank and Office
(http://www.endthefed.US)

During the festivities on April 25th, let's maximize our petition signature collection efforts as well as educational efforts. Try to include a location which allows for interaction with the public in your plans. After April 25th, let's renew our efforts to support these bills and redouble our signature gathering.

On April 27th:
Audit the Fed! Melt the Switchboard Day
(http://endthefedusa.ning....)

On Monday, April 27th we will follow up our nationwide End the Fed! rallies with an "Audit the Fed! Melt the Switchboard Day".

We must all call in on that day and get EVERYONE we know to also call in to our Congressional Representatives.

The Congressional Switchboard number is:
1-877-851-6437.

Let's focus particularly on the members of the House Financial Services Committee.

Let's also call to PRAISE and APPLAUD those Representatives who have Co-Sponsored the HR 1207.

(See Co-Sponsors here: http://www.govtrack.us/co...)

It was referred to committee in February. This does not mean it will necessarily be voted on. We need Barney Frank to agree to hold hearings on it.
