YouTube - Janeane Garofalo declares Tea Party attendees racist and Keith Olbermann agrees. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAAHMDpk7Ik&feature=player_embedded)

I'm the guy holding the megaphone and the "I'm Not Paying!" sign.

According to Olbermann's guest, I'm a racist, nevermind the fact that my wife is 1/2 Panamanian and my children are 1/4.

I'm currently crafting a response. Any input is welcome

Here's a pic of my 'racist' self. I hope my wife and children don't find out.

I wish I could somehow get in touch with her, although it'd be a complete waste of time, people like her and maddow are hopeless. Let's just hope other people have the commonsense to realize what she's saying is utter bullshit.

You aren't a 'political figure' unless and until you run for public office. You could sue for libel and/or slander. And if you need help with the legal fees, set up the lawsuit and post the verifiable information along with a chipin or even a post office box and you'll probably get it.

How immature is it to argue that if you disagree with Obama, that means you're a racist? I am so sick and tired of hearing this line of reasoning coming from some supporters of Obama. I find it so off the wall and offensive that people could suggest that opposing the policies and views of Obama equates to racism. Is that all people like Janeane Garofalo sees? Is this battle really skin tone versus skin tone?!

Give me a break. What does she think of people like me who vehemently disagree with Obama while sharing his same skin tone? I am not racist at all. At the bottom line, it's truth and righteousness that is important, no matter what one's skin color may be. Can't a White person be critical of socialism without being labeled as a racist? Can't a Black person be equally as critical?

This is the 21st century, and I would've thought we were passed looking at people based on the color of their skin. People are not angry with Obama because He's a Black President. They are angry because of what he stands for and stands upon. Yet, celebrities such as Janeane Garofalo only wish to make this an issue based on race, rather than argue on reason and principle. They know on those grounds, they would lose the debate quickly. Besides, the mainstream media and Hollywood have no time for critical thinking, and people like Olbermann and Garofalo make their living in the world of reading off scripts.

They don't think of you and they won't give you a break. They'll just ignore you and hope you shut up and go away.

Thank you very, very much for not doing so.

She didn't say why she thought they were racist. It seems from this interview it was just that it was because a Black man was in office. What basis does she have for this?

This was Republican and Conservative run? hahahaha

Watch out Comedy Central, MSNBC is giving you a run for the money as the top Comedy channel.

You, me, and about 7 billion others have racist tendencies. We're visual creatures for goodness sakes. The potential to overcome that begins with the abandonment of denial.

That's my stock answer to those who constantly cry racist.

Ok, I think that the OP confused what the talking heads were saying.

They weren't trying to say that the guy with the sign was racist, they were trying to say that the majority of people at the tea parties were like those booing in the background, and they are racist because this guy got up and made a very logical speech about how the Neocon/Bush Republicans aren't actually fiscally conservative and they can't handle facts. They just know they don't like Obama. Well, it's true, a lot of the tea party people are Bush supporters and they very well may be racist, or just ignorant like Hannity.

Where Jenine went off track was she was saying how conservatives in general are stupid, whereas the guy who went up on stage and gave the "logical" speech was also a conservative. It's almost like she didn't pick up on that, like he was a Democrat trying to show the tea party conservatives how they are wrong, when in fact the guy making the speech is a REAL Ron Paul conservative.

Even if your an ordinary citizen you have to prove that the interviewee was intentionally trying to hurt your reputation or public image.

Proving the intent of her actions will be quite hard unless you can read her mind.

I believe the supreme court case that decided this was:

New York Times Co. v. Sullivan
