I've been obsessing over whether RP is getting on the ballots for the primaries / caucuses, and found that Michigan has two ways for a major party candidate to get on the primary ballot:
(1) The party chair submits a list of potential candidates by September 11, 2007; or
(2) Getting over 10,000 signatures on a nominating petition by October 23, 2007.
The GREAT NEWS is that Ron Paul is one of the 9 names that Michigan GOP Chair Saul Anuzis (the others are Brownback, Giuliani, McCain, Tancredo, Hunter, Fred, Huckabee, and Romney).
Here's the PDF of the letter: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/sos/Republicans_Presidentials_208108_7.pdf
