CFL had a great day here today. There were a bunch of CFL signs and lots of End the Fed signs, etc. Saw several CFL shirts and even some old RP08 signs.

I passed out 600 CFL brochures and talked to dozens. We had dozens of CFL members there and several were passing out other lit like slim jims and biz cards. Everyone was really friendly and wanted the stuff. I only had 1 person push it away and I later found out he was a reporter. We were basically the only people who were passing stuff out in the crowd and clearly had the best presence with our signs and lit.

I didn't see much reference to either Bush or Obama - less than I thought I would see. It really seemed to be a crowd that was fed up with politics in general. Most of the GOP members of the Iowa legislature came out to see us but the organizers didn't allow any elected officials to speak and shooed them to the side. I worked them with fliers, too.

There was a massive Declaration of Independence with thousands of signatures on it. It was a very peaceful crowd and the weather was perfect. They cheered some stuff that we don't quite go for but it was still a great crowd to work in. We reached a lot of people today.

Pointed the wrong way!

that can be easily fixed.
I'd load it with fish sticks to add injury to insult.

That's the barrel of yet another cannon at the very bottom of the picture.

The crowd photo is deceiving - most of the people are beyond the crest of a hill and can't be seen.

my son and i just took a picture in front of that cannon two weeks ago. He's 12 and we spent over an hour listening to the house and senate debate bills. It was great to see him so interested in the process!
