The protests began with bloggers in Seattle, Wash., who organized a demonstration on Feb. 16. As word of this spread, rallies in Denver and Mesa, Ariz., were quickly organized for the next day. Then came CNBC talker Rick Santelli's Feb. 19 "rant heard round the world" in which he called for a "Chicago tea party" on July Fourth.

First it was 'He Who Must Not Be Named' during the primaries.

Now it is 'We Who Must Not Be Named'.

This is who Glen Beck works for. Murdoch signs Beck's checks. Must not forget that.

Didn't we organize before February? Wasn't there an actual Dec. 17th Tea Party?

No? Those things didn't happen. We've always been at war with Eastasia.

Glenn Beck owns the WSJ? nowai

No, I think you may have read that backward. His point was that Glenn Beck shares a sugar daddy with WSJ in Murdoch, who is very eager to let his news outlets be run by the State department, if not puppeteering the anchors themselves.

Statement on Ron Paul and "Tax Day Tea Parties"
QUOTE:
ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As activists across the country hold national tea parties, Campaign for Liberty president John Tate issued the following statement:

“The concept of the modern day Tea Party began on December 16, 2007 when supporters of Ron Paul’s presidential campaign came together and raised over $6 million online in one day. The tremendous success of that event lead activists in the freedom movement and members of the Campaign for Liberty to begin planning today’s Tax Day Tea Parties.

“Success always brings company, and it is very positive that so many conservatives, libertarians, Republicans, constitutionalists and even progressives have come together and joined our efforts. All Americans who are sincere about cutting out of control government spending are welcome to stand with Dr. Paul and the Campaign for Liberty as we fight to take our country back.”

Please share that with the WSJ, send them a link.

Claiming that this Tea Party started with "some bloggers" is worse defamation for our movement than Ron being called certifiably insane by FoxNews or being compared to Don Quixote in every interview. At least they could have said it "started in the fringes of the GOP" with the RPRs, but now were back to not even being worthy of having mention given to the impetus of the movement.

Now that it's building steam, they need to steal the baby from the parents. They would just as soon Republicans continue to be ignorant about what's really going on, and that would require either keeping them away from us, or keeping us 'respectfully silent' when we're around them.

We're terrorists in their eyes, all right. We go to Republican conventions and speak the truth--and make sense while we're doing it. What could be scarier to them?

Denninger and the BTP (http://bostontea.us/node/568) beat Santelli to the call for a new Tea Party over the bailouts.

On January 22, the Boston Tea Party National Committee (BTPNC) passed a resolution supporting the February 1st 2009 Tea Party. The Tea Party effort originated at Market-Ticker.org, where Karl Denninger wrote, "It is time for We The People to send a strong message to Washington DC - no more. No more loading our children and grandchildren with debt. No more bailing out speculators and bankers who made bets they knew were unsafe at the time. No more bailing out people who came to Congress to demand the removal of leverage limits, got what they asked for, then blew themselves up with the very leverage they demanded to be able to use."

I've found mention of these Tea Parties on this site. You'd think the MSM would have the budget to actually research their articles.

July 4th 2007, Tea-V party (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=2454&highlight=tea+party)

A "Cigar-Dave" Tea Party effort (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=8304&highlight=tea+party)

And certainly can't forget:

Tea Party '07 (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=28407&highlight=tea+party)

But yeah, this whole tea party thing started in February of this year according to the WSJ. Anything to not have to talk about issues.
