yeah some dude got called on before me and straight up asked him. the audience was giving the patriot a hard time about the question but he eventually got it out. barney frank said that it sounded like a good idea in principle, went on to say that he'd co-sponsered that marijuana thing with ron paul too, etc. anyways, add him to the list as [at least] "probably"

In the early 90's Barney Frank cosponsored a bill to Audit the fed. The bill grilled the fed even harder than Paul's bill does.

Hopefully Frank supports this one too.

barney's the one we need for the bill to move forward - he has to hold hearings on it - amiright?

why do we have to be "bedfellows" with Barney Frank...

because that is required to get bills passed.

Well yes, I know that... I was being sarcastically upset, lol

if Frank actually did co-sponsor and support it, that would be HUGE. it would help pass the legislation without any doubt.

but more likely, Barney Boy will be called into a closed-door meeting with congressional leadership and white house and Fed thugs present and told that he WILL NOT support it.

I like the way you say you, "just got back from the barney frank's forum", as if you went on some journey :p

THOMAS just updated their page today with a list of 16 cosponsors that signed on in the last couple weeks. I don't see his name on there.

Maybe it is time to hold Barney's feet to the fire.

According to this video, and Ron Paul's remarks on freedomwatch, Barney is likely to hold hearings on this or a similar bill.

We need EVERYONE to call Barney Frank's office tomorrow and hold him to his word. Let his office know that the liberty community wants action on the Federal Reserve.

Let him hear it, even if you're not a constituent, he's still voting on how to spend and devalue, your money.

I don't know about y'all but if there are hearings on this I'm dying to hear what the opponents will say.....

Uhhh.... Mr. Chair, Federal Reserve oversight will lessen American's confidence, thereby setting the stage for bank runs and economic failure of our system, and will also threaten our National Security and open us to another terrorist attack.... blah blah blah

It would be refreshing for SOMEONE to get up there and be like, DUDE, if there's oversight we can't rip off the public anymore and that would SUCK.

Barny Frank said in the video clip posted twice on this thread that he supported having more transparency, so I think that's a good sign for HR 1207.

Ron Paul also said on Freedom Watch that Barny Frank was sympathetic and and likely to support HR 1207.

Baby steps people. That's how most controversial ideas are accomplished in government.

Barney Frank's support would be beyond huge. He is probably the single most important supporter/co-sponsor we can get for this bill. He chairs the committee that would need hearings on this bill before it can move to the full floor.

I was just reading through the comments to see if anyone else caught that as well. Clear conspiracy. Oops, so some those don't exist...
