There is apparently a tea party in San Antonio this Wednesday at the Alamo. Glenn Beck is supposed to be there and I actually heard about it from my dad who is going, so I'm gonna go with him to support his rebellious attitude. :D Just curious if there will be any forum members there, I'm going to have a "end the Federal Reserve" sign, I think my dad is going with the "end the IRS" sign.

There is one in my town that I can go to during my lunch hour, so yes.
I'll go there to get people to pressure my districts rep into cosponsoring 1207.

I'll be going to one in Jersey and will be passing out 1207 literature from the C4L website as well as promoting the End the Fed rally to take place in 2 weeks. Hopefully it won't rain as the forecast is predicting.

fwiw.. "end the IRS" and "end the federal reserve" comes across to the average American about like the "end money" signs from the G20 protests. They're too far beyond what most people understand so they're far too easy to dismiss.

Take baby steps with them.. like TodaysEpistleReading... focus on HR 1207 and bringing transparency to the Fed. It's hard to argue against or dismiss the need for more transparency. HR 1207 has 58 co-signers. It has a chance but not without people getting behind it.

Also take some handouts (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=188208).

I am not going to argue for transparency when I do not support it. I don't care if people misunderstand my sign or not, they are the ones who are ignorant and not thinking about the issue, they are the ones supporting the destruction of our society. We are WAY past the time for baby steps and WAY past the time to worry about offending people. Our country is moving at full speed towards complete economic destruction and you want to take baby steps the other way.

Have you picked up the phone and called Ron Paul's office to tell him you don't support his bill (HR 1207)? You do realize the only way to end the Fed is to get the average person outraged about what it's doing. You won't do that until there is transparency -- and that's why Ron Paul introduced the bill.

No.. I don't have a problem with what Ron Paul is doing, our goals are the same, two sides of the same side. All I am talking about is what I am putting on my sign, if the casual observer things "end the IRS" or "end the fed" is crazy, then they aren't even going to know what HR 1207 is. All I am trying to do is get this topic in the open, even if people think it is crazy, it might raise the question for some people. I also think there is already enough "transparency" for people to be outraged by the fed, if they aren't they don't know/don't care. In my experience talking to people, they don't know, they don't have a clue as to what the fed does.

I just found out today that they are having one here in Flagstaff. It's being organized by the chairman of the Republican party and I know he's kind of scared of Ron Paul supporters. What kind of signs should I bring? Any ideas would be helpful.

I'll be going to 2 tea parties.

One from 1pm to 3pm @ the State capital in Baton Rouge, and one more local from 6pm to 8 pm in Covington, LA.

I will take pictures from both events and post them on www.latruth.com so you guys can see the turnout.

Well you convinced me, I'm going to use the end the fed sign to try and draw attention to myself and I'm going to print out the handouts you talk about to give to anyone who shows interest.

I went to one this last Saturday. I have yet to find one I want to attend on the 15th. I feel its going to be hard to organize a lot of people due to it being a weekday. Unless these events are going to be held in the evening.

Well it's already been organized, I was just wondering if people were going. I know there used to be some members here from San Antonio, not sure if they are still around.

There's one in Carson City, but we that have the time and resources are capitalizing on the Socialist Capital of America: Sacramento, CA

My county Constitution Party is actually coordinating a Tea Party for my city on that day, but I can't be there because I have to work. :(

Yeah I work that day too, it's starts at 4:00 so I'll have to miss the first of it, and then I get to rush downtown during 5:00 traffic. weee
