If I am reading this right, she might have sold the White House garden story, too.


The Post said it was had been promised an exclusive on the dog — which the Obama daughters have named Bo – after losing an exclusive on Mrs. Obama’s plans to build a vegetable garden on the White House lawn to the New York Times.

The President makes $400,000/year, so in order to get rich they have to sell something and if they sell this stuff off and make sure people know about it, it makes them less likely to seem suspicious when they leave the White House in 8 years.

This isn`t profiting from capitalism though. They would never be in the position to sell the story if they weren`t in the White House. So they are profiting from their position. Morally that is corruption.

It is no different than Obama starting a private tourist agency to charge people for tours of the oval office and air force one.

Private contract between a private citizen and a private news organization.

Ahhhyep. Im not sure its ethical, but it certainly isn't illegal to my knowledge. I would thank God himself if this was the only corruption in DC. Its not on the up and up, but it isn't 700b to banks and however many to states as hush money.
