I have some money saved up on Zazzle (http://zazzle.com) from royalties, so I should be able to buy a t-shirt pretty much for free. I have a few in mind which I will link below, help me choose from those or suggest your own. My goal here is to advertise the message of freedom, provoke questions, not look like a dork, and maybe piss off the statist faculty at my public HS just a little bit :p

So if you have a spare minute I'd appreciate your 2c.

Ones I have in mind so far:

http://www.zazzle.com/jw_booth_t_shirt-235415564769564259
John Wilkes Booth face with Sic Semper Tyrannis underneath. One of my personal heroes!

http://www.zazzle.com/america_is_not_the_government_t_shirt-235960046352909004
America is not the government and you are not my master. Badass. Maybe a bit too in your face? Idk.

http://www.zazzle.com/yes_we_can_comrade_obama_spoof_shirt-235222070697694272
Yes we can stimulate tyranny. Change is mandatory. Great design, hilarious t-shirt.

http://www.zazzle.com/rothbard_is_my_homeboy_t_shirt-235411952296324394
Rothbard is my homeboy. Looks pretty gangster.

http://www.zazzle.com/i_blame_the_keynesians_t_shirt-235107945995087908
I blame the keynesians. Then underneath: the retarded economists. Idk how many people actually know what keynesianism is though, sadly.

http://www.zazzle.com/who_is_this_man_ben_bernake_shirt-235227284962918426
Who is this man (shows bernanke sketch) and why is he ruining my money. I lol'ed when i saw it. A top contender, for sure.

Maybe I'll get 2 t-shirts, actually. Whats your favorite?

#1: Ummmm... No.

#2: Comes off as a bit self-centered, but still cool.

#3: Okay. At first I wasn't fond of it, but then I saw the back. Fantastic!

#4: I guess that's cool if you want to wear his face....

#5: Good for stimulating discussion and not too provocative (well, unless you actually run into a Keynesian)

#6: Good for discussion, and not too provocative.

I vote for #3 if you buy just one, and #6 if you buy two.

I want one with just the back of #3, but I want an image of both Bushes in there, so I'm not mistaken for a neocon.

Because Americans are generally fat.

At this point I have decided I'm definitely getting #6 and I may get #3 as well or possibly #5, I need to think about it a little more. Sadly, #1 will be misunderstood by the vast majority of people, and I definitely don't want everyone to think I'm a racist as that is certainly not the case (although there is still a part of me that wants to wear it). #2 and/or #4 I may own someday.

I'd seriously get together money (contributing $100 myself) using chip-in for you to wear the JWB one to the Lincoln Memorial or Lincoln's Tomb and present proof in the form of pictures and sworn statements from 3 individuals.

Really lol? Fuck if I got paid enuf for gas and my time and all that I'd do it, why not lol? You just want me to do it cuz it would give you a laugh? It would be amusing for sure but don't think many people would give money for that.

Well, I'll start a thread to see if I can get more than the measly $100 I have to spare.

One last bump b4 I hit the sack. Here's the link to the thread Nate made in OT, if anyones interested. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=188253 I'd do it for a profit of 40 bucks and I'd bring a friend too who would also deserve 40 bucks. So gas+t-shirt+80 bucks does it lol if by some chance some ppl want to contribute.

These are my favorites in this thread so far. I like all of those. Thanks for posting storm, I have seen some of awake's art in the past, but missed that he had stuff for sale. saweeet.
I am not a big fan of any of the others that OP posted to be honest.
Please don't get the JWB Sic Semper shirt, whatever you do. That shirt is just wrong.

I don't know why some ppl don't like the JWB shirt. What should the punishment be for causing the deaths of 600,000 people? A sharp rebuke? Personally I believe that the penalty for murder is death, and Lincoln deserved death 600,000 times over imo. Certainly at least once for every confederate dead and innocent civilian dead.

It would take a rare person to be able to wear that shirt and not cause more damage than ground gained, IMO.

I sympathize with your arguments, though I know so little about history.

Why Booth shouldn't be glorified:

1) He shot the president of the United States. Nationalism is alive and well here, and shooting its leaders is generally frowned upon.

2) He's a murderer (though perhaps it was justified).

3) Lincoln is widely perceived as being the white MLK.... Except with murder, oppression, and racism.... but no one pays attention to that anyway. Right -- my point is that it'd be perceived as racist to glorify the killer of an "anti-racist". (IIRC, Booth himself was opposed to outlawing slavery)

4) He's dead.

5) His sanity is questionable (but who am I to talk?).

Anyway, who the heck knows what Booth's face looks like?

Oh, and Lincoln's death day is this Wednesday, if anyone's interested in celebrating.

Using violence is the opposite of everything we're standing for. The core of libertarianism is the rejection of violence. Governments are violent.

Don't mistake what I'm saying here, I'm definitely no fan of violence. But, the core of libertarianism is the rejection of aggression, not violence. Violence can be either aggressive in nature or defensive in nature. The core of pacifism is the rejection of violence. Governments are violent, but more importantly they are aggressively violent. Just thought I'd point that out.
