Just a thought.. Would send quite a message to the bankers and economists eh?

Either that or Ben Bernanke or Alan Greenspan.

What do you all think?

The media will have a field day with that one.

No way.

Please no burning of anything.

agreed! john maynard keynes is an ecclectic reference to 80% of the public, whereas the other two
good gents deflect attention from the LOOMING budgetary battle over the next few stimulus packages!

Founding fathers burned King George in Effigy. Burn em.

How about burn effigies of Bush, Obama, Greenspan, and Bernanke all at once?

Maybe tar and feather in effigy...less dangerous but it gets the point across.

Gotta hang signs over their heads about what they did though, otherwise the Neocons will spaz seeing bush up there along with them.

the brilliance of this idea is that the MSM will be forced to ask, "Who is burning"? When they find out it's an economist, that will make for interesting discussion.

Yeah, unless you want those Missouri papers or Glenn Beck to be proven right, don't burn anything. You could do something more creative that won't make you look violent, like putting him in a cage or covering him in something.

Better to put effigy urinal stickers in the porta potties.

I like the idea of tar and feathering better, less middle eastern-ish if you know what I mean.

why not just in effigy put them in prison where they belong?

I don't like the people who are saying it would make us look like "terrorists." Burning or tar-and-feathering people in effigy is an American past time.

That's what I was thinking too.. Also, I think it will send a signal to people like bernanke.. He will be like WTF??

We know the enemy.. its the entire economic system.

I dont think there could be much violence considered - I mean Keynes is already dead.

Keynes was actually a pretty smart dude. Some of his work on taxation is pretty good.

Really, he is like the Green Party. If people did Keynes' theories to the letter, they would work. But they probably won't, and I would still rather have the alternative.

I would hate to burn people we don't agree with...

way too be like they do in Ulster every year with the pope...

Tar and Feather Bush, Bernanke, Obama, Geitner, Paulson.

Let people comeup and splash black paint or whatever, then tear open a pillow and toss it on. Should be a good time.

You could hit the effigies with bats or something.

Tar and feathering sounds better since it has more in common with Tea Porty TAX PROTESTS. It will last longer and people will have fun doing it, but when you burn something it lasts for a short time.

I think you should build a cardboard/styrofoam/LEGO/whatever Federal Reserve Building and then have everyone throw shoes at it. Eventually you could destroy it.

It's also a good way to promote RP's new book. :D

don't burn (who would have a chance to see it and get the point?), but have signs saying negative things about him. also promoting austrian economics and how they predicted this. most people don't know there is austrian versus keynesian -- educate.

The whole rally will mostly be an attack on Obama, bailouts, socialism, and probably democrats yes? They will be televised in lots of places yes? This is our audience then. Rather than burn Bernanke, Keynes, Marx, or Bush we should be pro-something. Bring signs illustrating Austrian economics, Rand Paul/ Peter Schiff for Senate, Mises was right, Hayek was right, Rothbard was right, and expose people to these names and ideas. If you burn Keynes and they google Keynes and agree with him then you just shot yourself in the foot. Expose them to our economics first so that is the first thing that is cultivated.
