Here is my response,

There will always be crazy people.

IMO your position on this issue sounds a lot like the arguments that support gun restricting legislation as a solution to lowering gun violence.

Where I instead am a firm believer that we would all be a lot better off if every state was like Texas when it comes to "gun control".

Blaming violet video games for school shootings is retarded.

Blaming Glen Beck for some dude's actions that were influenced by years of misguided reading of Alex Jones material is retarded.

Alex Jones is the guy talking about how Michelle Obama is flashing satanic symbols while at the same time releasing legitimate material like the MIAC report leak.

I personally hate Alex Jones for this very reason. He mixes legitimate with ridiculous and therefore destroys the credibility of the legitimate.

I don't even like Glen Beck and there have been a lot of heated arguments in the Ron Paul crowd recently debating if he does more harm than good to the "liberty" movement and the strong majority of Ron Paul supporters have come out against him. I strongly disagree with putting Glen Beck into the same category as Alex Jones. When Glen Beck starts talking about how the Obama's are possessed by the devil please let me know.

In the end everyone has the right to go to whatever websites they want and research any so called "conspiracies". If this leads to that person killing cops then it's pretty obvious the guy was unstable anyway. There are hundreds of white supremacist websites that promote violence against all types of people, should the government take away their first amendment rights because there is the possibility that a nutjob might go to those sites and then do something nutty?

Your thoughts?

Yup.
I always say, remove the gun and a knife would have taken its place.
Remove the knife and a large rock would have taken its place.
Banning the objects does not prevent the crime, but arming everyone makes everyone a danger to potential criminals.

Next we ban bows and arrows. Then we realize how easy they are to make, and ban fiberglass and wood. Then we realize how easy wood is to harvest, and eliminate all the trees. Then we die of oxygen starvation--but it's a small price to pay to save three cops who are already dead.

Yup.
And Becks Propaganda is being put out with the intention to inflame and incite some unstable elements to react. Just to elicit / invite this kind of action. :(

They want to paint anyone who believes there are people in this country working to dismantle our Constitution with the same brush. Meanwhile Obama is expanding FISA to include immunity protection for the govt for spying on people. Speak out against that and the other subversions and you just might be a crazy nutjob who might start shooting people.

Shows like Beck are fooling the avg Repub. They are being led to believe it's them against the socialist Obama policies instead of what it should be, ALL concerned Americans working peacefully to restore their rights and Constitution regardless of the 'party' in power at the moment. At the same time, the left is wigging out...dividing and conquering and even the 'intellectuals' on the left aren't seeing it.

:D Yeah, they're wigging out. We joined the Suicide Party against all conventional wisdom, and now we're educating the disaffected of both 'sides of the coin' about how little difference there really is. They certainly didn't expect us to be this brilliant. And whether we really were this brilliant, or we joined the Suicide Party because we're conservatives by and large and this was the principled thing to do, doesn't matter. It was still brilliant.

Apparently one of the comments that nut Poplawski left at infowars was to praise an article I had written linking the ADL to the MIAC report.
http://www.infowars.com/modern-militia-movement-report-written-with-adl-assistance/#comment-888572

I was disappointed to learn that. But I was even more distressed when I realized that, had the newest hate crimes bill (HR 1913) passed, the ADL could have tried to come after me for writing what I did.
