He said he wouldn't bring lobbyists into his administration. He has done nothing but hire lobbyists and people who are from wall street.

there are other lists out there that list a lot more broken promices. This one is interesting because it's tracking hundreds of promices. They didn't list the warentless wiretapping one as broken and others we consider broken are listed as compromises. Think the paper doing this leans to the left.

campaign finance, windfall taxes, earmarks,

Infowars
February 17, 2009

1. Make Government Open and Transparent
2. Make it “Impossible” for Congressmen to slip in Pork Barrel Projects
3. Meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public
4. No more secrecy
5. Public will have 5 days to look at a Bill
7. We will put every pork barrel project online

President Obama failed to consult Congress, as promised, before carving out exceptions to the omnibus spending bill he signed into law — breaking his own signing-statement rules two days after issuing them — and raised questions among lawmakers and committees who say the president's objections are unclear at best and a power grab at worst.

1. "Guantanamo is still open, but there are no longer "enemy combatants" there (Perhaps the name of the camp can be changed next?).
2. The old campaign snicker that a naïve McCain really believed that a then-stronger economy is "fundamentally sound" is now the new Obama gospel about a far weaker one.
3. There are to be no more earmarks in spite of 8,000-plus new ones.
4. A $3.6 trillion-dollar budget is proof of commitment to financial responsibility;
5. the remedy of Bush’s borrowing profligacy is to increase the deficit from $500 billion to $1.7 trillion.
6. Bush’s signing statements bad; Obama’s signing statements good.
7. An end to lobbyists in an administration ensure there are over ten;
8. the highest ethical standards mean the nominations of Daschle, Richardson, etc. The changing meaning of words really does trump memory and reality itself."

Let's count Obama's czars; Health reform Czar , Urban affairs Czar, Energy and climate change Czar, Car Czar, AIDS Czar, Drug Czar, and he just recently picked his gaffe galore VP as the Stimulus Czar.

So what's the big deal?

Czars are not accountable to Congress or to Cabinet officials and rarely testify before congressional committees. These Czar will not go through confirmation hearings, and they are not accountable to public. So why is he doing it, well a Democrat Senator Byrd thinks that Obama's administration is tying to accumulative more power through these czars and asserting more control. This is a direct conflict with Obama's commitment to openness and transparency.

There is no hope and no change!! Another broken promise.

"Right now in Congress, they’re working on the budget. And just like the last time the House prepared to spend ungodly amounts of money, the Democrats have excluded the Republicans. Even worse, they’re not letting the public see the bill before it’s voted on.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration is working on its defense bill. And to make certain that everyone sings from the same hymnal, they’ve ordered top defense officials to sign a secrecy oath that they will not discuss the details with anyone outside the federal government."
