You are probably as upset about the bailouts as we are. Well, Washington isn't listening, so let's turn up the volume. Come up with an idea, grab a camera, and send us your best 30-second video opposing government bailouts.
Be creative. Make us laugh. Teach us. Above all, make us oppose the bailouts. We will begin accepting submissions on Thursday, February 19th. The person or team that submits the "best video" will win $27,599 - one person's personal bailout burden.

Your submission must be a humorous video of yourself explaining about why you think the U.S. federal government's bailouts (which at the time of the writing of these rules total nearly $8.5 trillion in pledges and spent money) are a bad idea.
Video length: 30 seconds
Max size: 100MB
Accepted formats: avi, mov, mpg, mp4, flv or m4v
Your Submission should be original, truthful, compelling, relevant to the Right.org message, and show creativity.
Your video may include parody, such as social and/or political commentary, but please remember that “parody” is not simply “stealing” someone's idea and recreating it into something funny: you must be actually commenting on that which you have borrowed.

What happens with your uploaded video?



Your video will be uploaded to: Blip, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Myspace, Veoh, Viddler, Vimeo, Webcastr, Yahoo, and YouTube (Entrants are solely responsible for compliance with terms and conditions of all third party video hosting sites.)

Judging



Round 1: From about February 25, 2009 to June 15, 2009 (“Public Viewing Period”), Qualified Submissions will be posted and submitted to public viewing on third-party video hosting websites such as, without limitation, Blip, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Myspace, Veoh, Viddler, Vimeo, Webcastr, Yahoo, and YouTube.
Up to twenty (20) Submissions with the highest number of weekly views and up to twenty (20) Submissions with the highest number of views overall (on all video sites), tallied during the Public Viewing Period, will be selected as finalists to move to the second and final round of judging, for up to Forty (40) Finalists (“Top 40”). Use of bots, devices and other programs to increase views is prohibited. In the event of a tie, the tying submissions will be posted for an additional three (3) days in order to determine Finalists.
Round 2: Beginning on or about July 1, 2009 and ending on or about July 7, 2009, the “Top 40 Finalists” Submissions from the Second Round will be reviewed and scored by a panel of qualified judges, according to the following criteria:

Creativity and Uniqueness (30 points)
Relevance to Topic and Communicates Topic Effectively and Compellingly (30 points)
Humor (20 points)
Enthusiasm and Friendliness (10 points)
Overall Presentation (10 points).

The top scoring Contestant will be deemed the potential winner of the Grand Prize (“Grand Prize Selected Entrant”). The Contestant with the second highest score will be deemed the Second Prize Selected Entrant; the next five highest scoring Contestants will be deemed the Runner-Up Selected Entrants (collectively, the “Selected Entrants”). In case of a tie, the tying submissions will be re-scored.
