Below are the details of my two upcoming talks in Michigan and
Pennsylvania:

1) The first one will be in Flint, Michigan, on May 2nd.

Place: The AmericInn in Flint ( http://www.americinn.com/hotels/MI/Flint )
Date: Saturday, May 2nd, 2009
Time: Talk starts at 8:00 p.m. sharp

2) The next will be in Reading, Pennsylvania, on May 15th.

Place: The Inn at Reading ( http://www.innatreading.com/ )
Date: Friday, May 15th, 2009
Time: Talk starts at 8:00 p.m. sharp

I try to always make such talks something different from what I've done before, so it's not just a rerun for the people on my list, and so it's interesting for new people, too. The topic this time is, "Seeing our Lenses"--which will almost certainly mean nothing to you (and sound really weird) until you've actually heard the talk. Then it will make sense. The main talk will be about 40 minutes or so, followed by lots of back-and-forth, until everyone has to go home, or we get kicked out.

There is no admission, though at some point I'll ask people if they can fling a buck or two in to help with the rental costs. (The Flint one cost me $150, and the Reading one cost me $175, so if we get decent audiences, it wouldn't take much from each person for me to break even.) I'll also have my books available to buy, including the new one, "The Iron Web." But there will NOT be any real sales pitch for them. This isn't a nag-fest disguised as a talk. (I hate
that.) I'll also autograph books, for people who like that sort of thing.

Here's the IMPORTANT part: If you expect to come to either talk, please LET ME KNOW, and say how many people you expect to bring. I won't be doing reservations, but I want to know if we start getting so many people that we won't fit in the rooms I have reserved. (The room for the talk in Flint holds about 80 people, and the one in Reading holds about 150.) So if you think you'll be there, please let me know, including how many people you think you'll be bringing. And again, I encourage people to bring along some people who are NOT already "pro-freedom extremists."

On a final note, some people asked that I record the talk and post it on YouTube. Eventually I will, but not this time. In short, I fine-tune the presentation after each talk, depending upon which things people liked or didn't, which points they got or didn't, etc. So it gets a bit better each time (hopefully). Eventually it will end up as a YouTube video, but not yet.

First: I'm about thirty minutes from Flint and would be happy to attend and will donate what my unemployed ass can surrender.

Second: What is Larken Rose? The link doesn't work and Google turns up a bunch of tax related articles. I assume based on what I have found that Larken is an author and they will be the topic of discussion? Am I correct in assuming so?

Third: Do you not want it video taped or do you not have the means or the time to mess with that? I would be willing to tape it and try to make a video or I could hand it over to one of the better video editing gurus on here to play with. Maybe Avaroth?

Larken wrote and narrated, Theft By Deception - Deciphering The Federal Income Tax (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7521758492370018023)

A good video, but he comes to a wrong conclusion (the "861 argument (http://www.losthorizons.com/tax/Misunderstandings/861.htm)"). But he has written a few books about "freedom" and it might be interesting to go and hear him speak (it is free). I think he may be a bit like TW philosophically. :D

Cool. Pete was my "Red Pill" when I heard him speak at the freedom conference. Do you know where to get a higher quality version of that video? I checked bit torrent but couldn't find anything better.
