I saw this and thought...great, people use the Segway so that they can stand on it and they don't have to walk. Now people are so lazy that they can now sit instead of stand.

NOBODY is going to buy this crap..unless it costs about $200-300. instead of making things that the consumer wants they make things the GOVERNMENT wants. no wonder GM is going down.

It was kind of the natural evolution of things. Segway was invented to keep people from actually needing to walk.
Seriously, why does this need millions of dollars to develop? I'm not a motorhead, but I think I could probably rig up something that moved with a couple of leftover appliance motors and a battery.

GM didn't say how much the machines would cost, but research chief Larry Burns said owners would spend one-third to one-fourth of the cost of a traditional vehicle.
PUMA would have a range of about 35 miles.
