I was recently named as Chairman of our local GOP Resolution Committee. CA has the unlucky distinction of being one of 8 states that is not a "shall issue" state when it comes to concealed carry weapons(CCW) permits. Our county Sheriff who was recently appointed by the County Board of Supervisors because the sheriff before her was corrupt and resigned...has a very anti freedom/restrictive policy of what she will accept as "good cause". Well we had a meeting this past Saturday and our committee voted 7 to 0 for a vote of "no confidence" in the sheriff's CCW policy. The great moral of the story is that we are starting to make a real difference here in Orange County, CA. Here is an article in the OC Register about our meeting that quotes me several times...

Speaking of OC, I recently saw a vid on youtube of some OC GOP judge who was calling himself a libertarian, and calling for an end to the federal war on drugs. He was good. You OC folks should get behind that dude.

You would be referring to retired Judge Jim Gray. He is a great man.

Great to hear! Now you guys have to find a good candidate for sheriff and get behind him/her-- but you already know that :)
