You would need to end the gov for that. ;)

Nope....

But as soon as the government shoves us into hyperinflation by printing literally tons of fiat currency, all those "holders of U.S. debt" will suddenly be in possession of notes that are worth virtually nothing.

The Chinese will be using U.S. T-Bills as "T-P" in their latrines before this is all over....

Not that I'm a pessimist or anything! :)

[Sarcasm] I think it is a bonus that the Fed operates at a profit! :)

By the way, those treasury holdings have really gone parabolic in the last 6-12 months.

Its not a fucking good sign when there is no market for as much debt the gov needs to sell to fund its empire foreign and domestic, and they are resorting to selling debt to the fed.

Of course, the Credit Default Swap market collapsing on top of an already dried up demand for treasuries will leave this country with a broken back, and a people open to an international currency because they will be told by savior Obama that it is the answer to their pain. Oh, and humvees in every neighborhood will be a precursor to that by a few weeks probably to demand compliance.
