For those of you with web sites,

feel free to link to the following image, which we (Liberty Maven) update once per day with the cosponsor count to RP's HR1207. We also have a page that gets updated automatically with the entire list sorted by most recent cosponsor first.

Yeah, it's not the most beautiful graphic or anything but it gets the job done.

The page with the cosponsors list (now 58):
http://libertymaven.com/wp-content/uploads/hr1207cosponsors.html

If you'd like to post the graphic and link to the list use the code below:

<a href="http://libertymaven.com/wp-content/uploads/hr1207cosponsors.html"><img src="http://libertymaven.com/images/rpfta.png" alt="HR1207 Cosponsor Count" border="0" width="160" height="75" />

Enjoy!

I'd like to organize a day where we all call in to Barney Franks office and request that he get behind the bill.

He's the one that can push the bill for a vote on it correct?

Organize it into hour slots and we can sign up for which hour we call in...

Do we know his position on this already?

I say organize. It'll probably take at least a week though to drum up enough to make it effective.

I think we need to be very careful here. RP and BF must have a delicate working relationship and we don't want to upset that. I really like the idea of doing something, but don't know that tieing up a phone, and aide, all day will work in our favor.

I'm not saying I think it is bad, just want to be careful and wonder that we can be a bit more creative.

remember the flower bombs - lol

I would need some practice getting used to his, um, accent.

Well said.

I was thinking maybe one phone call per hour for as many unique sign ups as we can get. If we got enough signed up we could stretch it over more than one day. They would have to be courteous calls and we could use a basic script for callers to work off of.

Better than nothing. ;)
