The trailer quickly shows Bruno dropping his pants and then Ron Paul storming out of the bedroom saying, "This is ended!"

Apparently the actual scene will last about five minutes. Wow. Haha.

So Cohen pissed off Ron Paul? What happened?
Writes Andy White about the scene:

I attended the first screening of Bruno here in Los Angeles. I'm a huge Ron Paul supporter. When Ron Paul came on screen the majority of the audience cheered, clapped, and hollered. The Slate article was inaccurate regarding Ron Paul's scene however. When Bruno pulled his pants down, Ron Paul jumped up and tried to leave the bedroom, but was blocked by Bruno. Ron Paul yelled, "Get out of here," and pushed him aside. As Ron Paul was leaving the hotel room walking towards the elevators, he said something to the effect of, "That guy's *****er than blazes." Ron Paul was visibly uncomfortable, but he didn't do anything that would reflect poorly on himself.

Ron didn't know... geezus.

Ali G's interviews with famous people (often politicians) gained notoriety partly because the subjects were not privy to the joke that Ali G, rather than being a real interviewer, was a comic character played by Baron Cohen. According to Rolling Stone magazine, Baron Cohen would always enter the interview area in character as Ali G, carrying equipment and appearing to be an insignificant crew member. He would arrive with a suited man, who the interviewee naturally thought was the interviewer. Baron Cohen, as Ali G, would sit down to begin conducting the interview by asking the interviewee some preliminary questions. The interviewee, however, would remain under the impression that the smartly-dressed director would be conducting the interview until short notice prior to cameras rolling: this would grant an advantage of surprise, whereby the interviewee would be less likely to opt out of the Ali interview prior to its commencement.[14]

Bob Barr was still a Republican at the time, with a neocon voting record. Paul on the other hand has many supporters who apparently don't have a sense of humor, as this thread so far is proving, and he knew he could easily upset them.

nah, its not the sense of humor that is lacking, for me anyway, its the lack of respect and the fallout that will happen because of this. paul will be called a bigot and a homophobe and will be made fun of. that is what makes me mad about it all.

If anything it'll bring attention to his positions on gay rights. No one will be able to call him a homophobe for walking out of a hotel room, when a man he just met rips his pants off, in front of him.

Seriously, it's hilarious, and i don't think it's gonna hurt us. If it does, then America is too dumbed down and lost to be saved ;)

The thing is, all the other people he will interview will just clearly hate gays before Bruno does anything. It's obvious that it took Sasha as far as having to rip off his pants to get a weird reaction from Paul that Paul will present himself rather nicely. And the rest will be understandable.

I watched the Ali G show. It was entertaining. Borat was funny, but at times went too far. Wrestling with fat naked men lost it's humor really fast. "Jackass" almost had more class. There are always agendas behind these movies too...

Bruno was my least favorite personality on the Ali G show but this movie looks to be really funny judging by the trailer. Only thing I don't like is putting people in danger (when he drove that scooter hurriedly out of the driveway) - even if it was funny, that's not cool at all.

He supports gay rights

Rights belong to individuals, not groups.

I don't know what to think of this movie or the fact that Ron Paul will be featured. I thought the Borat movie sucked in comparison to the original shows, the scene with the fat guy killed it for me. I felt like he had to be more outrageous where he could of been more entertaining just being regular Borat.

I liked Bruno in the show, because he does a good job of making people contradict themselves especially the fashionistas whose philosophies change just as rapidly as the trends in clothing.

I do think however that the movie will be worse than the show and that it will have even more homosexual acts. Its basically going to be all petty shock value, the lowest form of comedy. I don't think we have to sweat about RP looking bad, because I'm sure any reasonable and decent person such as him would have the same reaction to whatever Bruno is trying to pull. That said, Ron Paul DOES NOT deserve to be shown such disrespect. Its weird, I don't want to watch it for what he did to Ron Paul yet I want to see Ron Paul.

Kludge is now selling built-to-order PCs (starting at $245) because:
1) he has too much unproductive time in his current life
2) he's poor, without skills or a real job, a student, and in Michigan
3) he enjoys doing it.

You should build PCs that are compatible with OS X! You'd sell lots of those.

Eh, it takes a patched version of OS X and only works on specific motherboards. I can build a hackintosh, but it'd cost about $100 more for the same specs, and wouldn't work at all on the AMD computer. For the high-end PC, it'd cost about $150 more for a working i7-compatible MoBo + other hardware which it is compatible with. This isn't including the price for the OS. I'm not too familiar with Apple, either.

Ehhh, I spent an hour or so browsing around, and frankly, you're better off here (http://store.psystar.com/featured/open3-osx.html). I can beat the hardware specs (with OS) for the price (not by much), but they also appear to support the OS. I'm not comfortable or familiar enough with Mac to help anyone if something were to go wrong. I think their overhead charges are justified.

Paula Abdul, Latoya Jackson, Bono, Chris Martin, Slash, Elton John, Snoop Dogg, Harrison Ford

As for the ridiculous scenes:

Among other things, Bruno will be using Mexican workers as furniture for interviews, joining the national guard, trying to get a terrorist cell to kidnap him, adopting a young African child, participating in a UFC fighting match, hanging out with rednecks while hunting, seeing a medium, attending a swingers party and, of course, trying to seduce Ron Paul.
