I'm sorry, but I need to rant. I just got out of my Ethics class where we were arguing whether or not it is acceptable for America to not be a charter member of the ICC. Of course, it was only me and one other girl in my class arguing that the U.S. was making the right decision by not joining.
It only got worse, a bunch of idealistic morons started harping that we are members of the international community and need to hold our leaders responsible for "crimes against humanity" if they may arise.
My point was that it is unconstitutional! All American citizens are awarded a right to a fair trial by their peers, and sending them to a bullshit international court would effectively abdicate those rights. I'm sorry, am I delirious?? :confused:
