Romney backs Obama auto decision, praising 'backbone' (http://briefingroom.thehill.com/2009/03/31/video-romney-backs-obama-auto-decision-praising-backbone/)

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) backed the plan for GM and Chrysler put forth yesterday by President Obama, the candidate Romney may face in the 2012 presidential election.

"I think a lot of people expected the president just to cave, write a check, and just hope for the better," Romney said Tuesday morning on CNN. "I think he's expressing some backbone on this."

I hate that guy... Actually, I hate both of them.

hi dan chisholm! i like to follow gentleman mitt's better brainfreezes. folks,
judd gregg even sorta ruled out another senate run for his republican self
after barack obama's team did its vetting of the guy, and the bolt was done
not from there being extensive political skeletons in the good senator's closet!

Me too.

Backbone? It took a new committee and billions of dollars to get a community organizer to suggest that perhaps bankruptcy is the best answer?

Cripes. No wonder I am not presidential material. I don't like to complicate things.

Romney is as fake as a Ken doll. That pretty much sums up his entire existence.

He supports government healthcare, he consults lawyers with regard to foreign policy, and now he supports government take-over of private companies.

He's done in the GOP. (because we're in it now!)

Manchurian Mitt is for Corporate Money from Bailouts/Subsidies/Tax Credits/Breaks/AntiTrust deals/ whatever...

Romney is in it for the money... SO, following the trail of money where does Mitt profit or where does one of Mitt's subsidiaries/Buddies/Venture Capital sleazebags profit at the American Taxpayer's expense?

I have mixed emotions on the people of Taxechusetts... dumb lefty ignorance votes these political pukes and continue to revote them in their government positions (Barney Frank & et al) left with BILLIONS in social medicine Debt and massive increases in FEES. Mixed Feelings, and you feel sorry for the MASS people, but you wanta see it all collapse to prove to the ignorance of the voters and the flawed/disastrous government intravenous garbage schemes.

Ah, sorta like my ex-wife driving my BMW off a cliff.

Romney doesn't know it, but he's committed political suicide doing this.

Public opinion is already starting to swing against the Obama administration; whatever smoke and mirrors they throw in the way, its not diffusing public anger.

This was not a bright move at all - he's going to be on record agreeing with and praising the most worst President in American history.

This is just one less Republican candidate to face in 2012.

Yeah, its on the front page of MSNBC.com http://www.msnbc.msn.com/
It says a company re-organization through bankruptcy may be only solution.
Do we get our fucking money back then?
It seems like they were just making sure their buddies got their bets back before they let them go under.
Robber Barons need to have their heads removed.

I know. If by some insane reason, Mitt takes the primaries, there is no way that Mitt can beat Obama by sounding leftist on economics. The dems will always vote for a D, and the disenfranchised moderates and conservatives will sit out, just like last election.
