Dear Congressman,
I am writing as a concerned citizen of (state)’s (number) Congressional District to ask you to consider co-sponsoring H.R. 1207, the “Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009.” While a lot of emphasis has been placed on the transparency of banks and insurance companies through regulation and oversight, the Federal Reserve is still exempt from a formal audit. The citizens of (state)’s (number) District, whose tax dollars are on the line, deserve to know where money is coming from and going at all stages.
31USC§714 currently reads:
Audits of the Federal Reserve Board and Federal reserve banks may not include—
(1) transactions for or with a foreign central bank, government of a foreign country, or nonprivate international financing organization;
(2) deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy matters, including discount window operations, reserves of member banks, securities credit, interest on deposits, and open market operations;
(3) transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee; or
(4) a part of a discussion or communication among or between members of the Board of Governors and officers and employees of the Federal Reserve System related to clauses (1)–(3) of this subsection.
In other words, the Federal Reserve is held to no accountability whatsoever! H.R. 1207 would eliminate these restrictions, allowing citizens to see the actions of the Fed and to demand accountability for the use of their tax dollars.
Please consider co-sponsoring and supporting H.R. 1207, and help bring transparency to every facet of the use of our tax dollars. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,

E-mail everyone you know:
Please forward this on to everyone you know. While Congress demands more oversight of banks, insurance companies, auto makers, and anyone else who receives federal funds, the Federal Reserve has no oversight whatsoever. With a national debt of around $11 trillion (NOT including future obligations via Social Security and other programs), the Federal Reserve has increased the monetary base at a rate never before seen in history. Shouldn't "We the People" have a right to know what the Federal Reserve is doing with our tax dollars?
H.R. 1207, recently introduced to the House floor by Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, would remove the restrictions that make a formal audit of the Federal Reserve impossible. Attached to this e-mail is a form letter to send to your Representative asking for his/her support of H.R. 1207. The text of the letter is also below. Please fax this letter to your Congressman (his/her fax number can easily be found via the House website or through a quick Google search). An e-mail can be ignored; a phone call only lasts a few minutes; a fax is a hard copy that will be in their office.
Please forward this e-mail to everyone you know!
Thanks,

Contact Glenn Beck asking him to report on H.R. 1207 ("me@glennbeck.com", "stu@glennbeck.com"):
Glenn,
I am writing to ask you to feature a segment on your show (television or radio) on H.R. 1207 - the "Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009." It was mentioned by Ron Paul on your show several weeks ago, and after reading more about it, I think it is something that the audience of your show would be inclined to hear more about. While many members of Congress clamor about oversight of the banks and companies that receive bailout money, they should be concerned about the lack of transparency of the Federal Reserve - the organization with a monopoly on our country's money supply.
31USC§714 currently reads:
Audits of the Federal Reserve Board and Federal reserve banks may not include—
(1) transactions for or with a foreign central bank, government of a foreign country, or nonprivate international financing organization;
(2) deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy matters, including discount window operations, reserves of member banks, securities credit, interest on deposits, and open market operations;
(3) transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee; or
(4) a part of a discussion or communication among or between members of the Board of Governors and officers and employees of the Federal Reserve System related to clauses (1)–(3) of this subsection.
Basically, the Federal Reserve is not held accountable for any of its actions. As taxpayers, we deserve to know where our tax money is coming from and going, and the level of currency debasement that we all may face with irresponsible monetary policy. H.R. 1207 would remove these restrictions and allow for a complete audit of the Federal Reserve.
Thanks for your time, and I look forward to seeing/hearing about H.R. 1207 on your show!

Live in Colorado? Download a petition asking your Rep to support HR 1207! http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=187020
I live in Colorado and we have seven Representatives in the US House. None of them are currently a co-sponsor of Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill. I want them to support and cosponsor the bill now, and I want you to help me convince them.
At the linked page below are petitions you can download, print out, gather signatures with, and then turn in to your own representatives office. These petitions are asking each of the representatives individually to cosponsor H.R. 1207 and make every effort to seek roll call votes.
You can download the right PDF file for the district you live in and either print up one page and get a few signatures from you, your friends, and families and fax it in, or, print up multiple pages and go out into your neighborhood or in front of a grocery store and gather pages of signatures and mail them in. Or do something in between.

(1) transactions for or with a foreign central bank, government of a foreign country, or nonprivate international financing organization;
(2) deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy matters, including discount window operations, reserves of member banks, securities credit, interest on deposits, and open market operations;

(1) transactions for or with a foreign central bank, government of a foreign country, or nonprivate international financing organization;
(2) deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy matters, including discount window operations, reserves of member banks, securities credit, interest on deposits, and open market operations;
