Has anyone else noticed that Russia seems to be sending out a lot of libertarian-sounding ideas lately?

Arkady Dvorkevich, the Kremlin's chief economic adviser, said Russia would favour the inclusion of gold bullion in the basket-weighting of a new world currency based on Special Drawing Rights issued by the International Monetary Fund.

I'm not sure I like the way that sounds.

And all these people who told me we should ban gold as a world currency get to have a think.

Maybe I am right about Putin having learnt something in his life and being the last bastion of freedom against American Facism.

He could make his country explode with prosperity.

1) Open market commodity based NON-fiat currancy
2) private property rights. ( They never truly allowed the people to own property )

His country would be the new superpower if they accomplished those 2...
I feel that he is part of the banking system though. I have no illusion he truly wants to reform his country.

Sorry mate, but I am not going to chase that down. Fair call on your part, but I have actually seen Putin doing so.

I'll PM you at a later date with the links.

I'm a slacker...
