In a word it was awesome!

Friday March 27th
I was running late and got to the conference a few minutes after 8. There were hundreds of people I would guess 1 to 2 thousand. It was a large room with nice chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. People lined the walls, rows and rows of seats were filled with people, people sat down in the walk ways, and more stood in the back.

State Legislature Jim Guest was one of the speakers and talked about how he had the wonder of introducing Ron Paul when Paul decided to run for President last election cycle.

Judge Napiltano entered the stage with loud amounts of clapping and gave a very wonderful speech. He talked about the Constitution and freedom receiving lots of applause.

Ron Paul gave a speech about the same rhetoric he always does. He wasn't at the height of his game last night but his speech was very welcomed from the crowd.

This concluded MY day with the C4L.

Saturday March 28th
I arrived a few minutes late again at about 8:35. I registered outside of the doors fairly easy. They gave me a name tag with "Campaign For Liberty" stamped on it. I walked into the same room as the speeches were held the previous night. Many rows of seats were available at long narrow tables with pens and pads of paper. I found a seat and sat down as John Tate was speaking. To the right was a projection screen that projected power point presentations which we got copies of.

8:45am Tom Woods came up and championed Jeffersonian ideas. He explained the constitution and explained the true meaning of the perverted clauses of the constitution that we all should know so well, the Regulate Commerce clause, General Welfare clause, and the Necessary and Proper clause. All I can say is that Tom Woods had a great presentation.

Next up we had a Grassroots Activism school at 10:15am. The gentleman explained a six step method officials will use to get you to back down on issues. He explained the importance of how to get a hold of representatives and the best methods. He mentioned some strategies that work well to get people talking.

Next up we hand lunch sometime around Noonish - 12:30pmish. We walked into a different room and went in one of two lines on opposite sides of the food table and picked up what we wanted salad, meat, fruit, desert, rolls, YUMMY! You found a seat at one of the 45 tables which had cups napkins water and tea ready for you. Many waiters were going around checking the drinks at the tables and taking away dirty dishes. Just when I was done eating we had a surprise guest Cynthia Davis from the Missouri State Legislature. Cynthia was gracious and talked about schooling in Missouri followed by an introduction to Tom Woods.

Ok I forgot one gentleman who talked about his organization that was somehow involved with the draft Schiff and Rand Paul websites that was on right before Cynthia Davis.

An Organizer from the people who brought you draft Schiff. (I think!)

Next up was Tom Woods again at about 1pm. He notified us we were being recorded by c-span (Not live). In his presentation this time he talked about our current economic woes. He called out all the blockheads in the government for not seeing the crises and not understanding the free market. This was another great presentation by Tom Woods.

2:30ish-3:30ish
After Tom Woods was done speaking we all left the lunch area to enter back in the other forum for the next school program. The gentleman teaching this time talked about the Lincoln 4 step method, door to door campaigning, being friendly, being prepared, listening to others. He had great information.

3:45ish-5
I went to the lunch area to watch the "Campaign Training School for Future Candidates and Campaign Managers, Are You Ready To Run?" lecture. Many many more stayed at the other event for grassroots activists. This guy had run for government office and knew what he was doing since he ran 6 times and failed at the first 2 attempts. He talked about enemies, scandals, agendas, volunteers, campaigning, winning. All in all it was interesting advice.

This days events were over for me.

Sunday March 29th
I arrived a few minutes before 10am (YES got their early FINALLY!)

Today Deb Medina talked about being the "life of the Party" not as in a drunk party, but as in political party. (This speech was scheduled for the day before but I guess got postponed due to time constraints Saturday) She said she lived in Paul's district for many years. She said she made a strong influence on local politics and explained that we do the same and it will work its way up in different fashions she outlined.

This day we had the honor of being accompanied by Jim Guest a Missouri State Rep. Jim talked about some of his bills such as the Stop Real ID act, stop the N.A.U. from starting. He shared a funny experience. He said one time when he was campaigning door to door he told a lady he was running for State Rep. she said "Well you better keep running." This gave us a great chuckle. Jim Guest is one of THE best liberty supporters in Missouri along with Cynthia Davis and Jim Lembke.

Jim Lembke was also on stage with Jim Guest at the same time. He mentioned some of his legislation in the Missouri State Senate to stop Red Lights and others. He said as far as he was concerned less government was better government.

During this day there were SEVERAL people talking. Most of the speakers were associated with Missouri oriented organizations here is the list (I might have forgotten one or two) Against Illegal Immigration, 2nd amendment civil liberties group, against animal ID'ing, against property taxes, against unions.

Missouri C4L members were cooking up the works of a sub-C4Lorganization that is still under and part of the National C4L organization for Missouri. Thus to allow C4L members to be effective.

Let me sum it up for you... if you want to advance the cause of liberty, freedom, and C4L you should attend some of the next C4L events!
