I think as the campaign grows and if the candidate has the energy, he should be out doing these fundraising trips as much as possible. The high dollar donors are out there and receptive to the message, they just have to be asked.

We LOVE Ron Paul over here no doubt about it. I went to the breakfast and lunch fundraisers in San Francisco as well as the huge march in between. Good times!

Get out your address book and hit up some friends for donations!

I can't wait to see the donation figures for Q3. Does anyone have any idea why the campaign is so secretive about these numbers?

they said 168,000 -- seems low, is that JUST Los Angeles??

The FEC and the possibility of giving inflated expectations are two pretty good reasons why. Besides, it's a nice surprise to find out the solid numbers when they come out instead of working from a variable number.

BTW, he made $350,000+ last week on his fundraising trips alone (inferred very clearly) according to the latest blog entry on his site.

I noticed the host of the fundraiser was a Mormon - we aren't all bedazzled with Mitt.

When he was in SLC Saturday, Lew Moore said over $500,000 for the week so far.

This was not counting whatever he raised in Utah Saturday.

Some very fine Americans were Mormon. Cleon Skousen comes to mind. I love his book on the Constitution.

And this is why Dr. Paul has to campaign out west. I got into a heated exchange with a New Hampshire native the other day about Ron Paul campaining in Florida, Michigan, and Utah and not New Hampshire. Well, this article gives a good reason. Plus he's got a couple debates coming up in those states that help get the word out to more people who don't use the internet. Add to the fact that he was in New Hampshire earlier this month AND he's going there at the end of this month. The reason for going out west is to get a lot of money which he needs to compete in the early primary states. I hope the New Hampshire native I was debating with reads this and apologizes to me.

I think he was asking too much in Utah. He has to scale each event according to the affluence of the respective community.

I hope they learned that lesson in Utah.

I agree, they may have based it of the money Romney has been raising.
