NO, NO, NO!!! The goal of the liberty movement must be to piss people off! We gotta ruin their day and then blame it on gov't! YOU'VE GOT TO GET ANGRY!!!

Interesting idea, it's a nice little public service, but I have questions (just questions, not doubts) about its effect in the fight for liberty.

1. Are the meters privately owned? Otherwise you cutting down on the tickets, but the government is still getting their money, (if the meters are publicly administered) Heck they might be getting more, because you could be paying for people who weren't going to stay there long anyway.

2. What happens to the meter maids? It's not like they are going to go home and find a job in the real economy. They'll just be doing less work in their government job.

No one who was spared a ticket is going to read whatever literature is left behind and think, "Fuck these people! what about the parking meter people?!"

I don't understand how the government can make a law saying you cannot pay for another persons parking meter: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-russnow/you-can-be-ticketed-for-f_b_111120.html

This is not activism to keep the govt from getting money, it is OUTREACH to people that don't know about them or what they are about, and for that it is quite cheap advertising.
